Being an Indian I know how muslims in india use this word to their advantage everytime & anytime... they have all the freedom here & they are always wanting for more... we're supposed to be a democratic country & muslims still have a seperate law board for them... what more are you asking for??? do you want the other countries to suffer the same fate as Malaysia??? multiplying so fast so that you ultimately become the majority and take over the country???

The Muslims in India is an entirely different topic, I suggest you do some research into Gujarat Massacre and Kashmiri genocide.

We are discussing the affect of degrading and insulting other religions, and how it makes oppressed minorities like Muslims more hated and suseptible to violent abuse form common people.

Minorities should be respected wherever they are, and be free from the threat of harm of other people. In Islamic countries it is unlawful to encourage violence against other minorities. The west should learn from this noble law.

Mayalsia converted to Islam like Indonesia and there were Sultanates in that country since the 12th century. They accepted Islam of their own will.

Mr. Yank, if you are truly Indian you would not encourage these people for violence against minorities because many of the people killed in violence and abuse included Indians particularly Sikhs.

well for your kind information I reside in india & i possess a better understanding of the situation here rather than you who stays in a country who's always wanting to spread terror in Kashmir!
besides if we ever wanted to degrade the muslims here, we wouldn't even be allowing you to offer your prayers on loud speakers late at night & early morning... which is very disturbing to one & all... does the UK allow this??? In the West, it's unlawful to encourage violence against any group, minority or majority. Encouraging violence is called incitement (a related idea is hate speech.)

 

You really are an asshole for stating that we are all common. Muslims are people and are no better than anyone else.

Look internally at your own religion in regards to oppression before you look to external forces. You'll find the hatred, violence and abuse need not external forces.

That is nonsense - it is perfectly legal to discriminate against non-muslims in islamic nations, and to interfere with the expression of their religion, as evidenced by the Pakistani convert case.

At least your comment here carries the implicit admission that conversion was not always of free will elsewhere. The Middle East, Turkey, Spain and North Africa spring immediately to mind, not to mention Iran.

It is Islamic tenants which prohibit the portrail of images of Muhammed. If a person is not muslim they have no requirement to follow Islamic doctrine in most of the world including the Danish press. It is Islamic intolerance which propels these incidents to the points of violence which flood our news each day. I do not have to respect Islamic idealisms, nor do I have to practice any of them. What I do have to do is tolerate them.

I do not have to inhibit my words about how I perceive Islam and muslims have to tolerate that. Islam and muslims do not have a right to NOT be offended. What right they do have is to practice their religion the way they perceive it should be practiced, as long as it does not inhibit the practice of other religions, or even no religion. I cannot attack physically the person who practices a different religion. I cannot suggest others partake in violence against an opposing/different practice. I cannot spray paint a mosque/temple/church or burn it down. There are many legitimate laws that protect the religious from the religious. These same laws protect muslims equally with all the other religions that are practiced in various countries around the world. There are no special rights granted to muslims that protect them from people saying mean things about Islam or Muhammed.

These cartoons do not violate any of the protected rights of the religious no matter what their seperate doctines dictate.

Why do you people think Pakistan was formed, it was formed to protect the rights of Muslims of India from Hindu violence?

If there is being terror spread in Kashmir, then why not end this by recognizing a UN plebiscite of Kashmir? Why have all the leaders of India been against this?

On the Issue of Plebescite your first president Nehru said: “Kashmir would vote to join Pakistan and we would lose it. No Indian government responsible for agreeing to a plebiscite would survive."

Pakistan is a free nation, and will remain so. and Kahmiris deserve their right to chose themsleves who they want to be part of, Pakistan or India. Glory tot he brave Kashmiri people. Zindabad Kashmir.

You people need to understand the primary motive and outcome of such racist, bigoted portrayals of others results in violence against minorities.

The reason muslims are against these cartoons can be summed up in a number of points:

1)increases hatered and attacks on Muslims

2)makes it easier for the governments to pass anti-muslim laws due to spreading of bigotry

3)mocks and ridicules the Holy Prophet Muhammad (s), which Muslims are commanded to respect and revere greater than their parents, teachers, and anyone else in the world

4)is a cultural attack on Muslims which view their culture being suppressed and mocked in West

When Muslims in Islamic world see this public insulting of Muslims, they ofcourse are enraged, especially after hearing from their families of all the abuse cases against Muslims.

Also, the only ones who will not accept that Muslims have suffered widespread abuse in the West are those guilty of spreading this and those who support this.

The racists in this thread will be shown as clear as an untainted glass. All of whom jump at the chance to insult Muslims any way they can.
