Do you have one? If so, what is it and how did you come to those conclusions?

Always take your time but never waste it...
I've learnt to take my time around sharp implements, heat, electricity, explosives etc mostly the hard way. Also sleeping on major decisions can be beneficial but dont miss an opportunity when you see it. Some people around here need to take more time and think about some of the shite they post, myself included

My personal philosophy changes, so I guess you could say I have a few personal philosophies. Right now it's "Peace until you piss me off", but only because I'm feeling annoyed right now. (Lunch break isn't over yet, people. Leave me alone!) Maybe they're more like titles of mental programs or subroutines, because once my desk clock goes to 1 o'clock, it's "Can do, will do". Overall, I subscribe to the Wiccan bit about "And harm ye none, do what thou will."

Enlightened Self-Interest. (without comment or explanation)

    - and

Do it Right the First Time: if You've not Time, WHEN Will You Have Time To Do It Again? (Besides, it usually takes JUST as long to Do It Wrong ...)

    - and

My Personal Rights End at the tip of Your Nose.

    - and

A Free Person Always Has The Right To Self-Defense.
    An Enslaved Person Never Does.

    - and

If It's Illegal for An Individual to Do, it SHOULD Be Illegal for a Government to Do. (The corollary is not necessarily true.)

    - and

Majority Rule? Why? Who Said that The Majority (the Great Unwashed) Knew Best? Historically, The Majority Hasn't Been All That Wise. (The USA is still too young, The Evidence Ain't All In Yet.

    )

Rule by One? Makes No More Sense than Majority Rule: Who Gets To Decide who the One Is? Who's He and What Makes Him An Authority?

Rule by A Few? Still Makes No Sense: Who Gets To Decide Who The Few Are?

    (and least of all)

Rule By Theocracy? What? Well _I_ Certainly Don't Believe The Way They Do! And Who Decided THEIR Beliefs Were The Right Ones? I Definitely Don't Believe That!

    - and

He[They] Who[Which] Governs Least, Govern Best.

    - and

Right Does Not Make Right. (But, Sometimes It Does Not Make Wrong, Either - It May Be Neither: Sometimes, Might Just Is.)

    - and

For Any Government deciding by some sort of plurality-rule (i.e. Majority Rule): It should take At Least A True Majority to pass any Law.
But a simple 1/3 should be all that's needed for Repeal/Removal of any Law (if that many people are pissed enough to vote against any given Law, should it even BE A Law?)

    - and

Governing A Stiff-Necked People is a most difficult Job, thankless and nearly impossible.
ANYONE Who WANTS the Job should have his Head Examined. If found Sane: should be immediately Disqualified.
Only someone truly reluctant to do the Job will be able to do it well.

    My personal philosophy is:
    1) NEVER GIVE UP
    2) Acknowledge those who have more power, meanwhile try to acquire that power
    3) Act passively
    4) Pride is nothing, life is everything (dont fight, run away)
    5) Hold family above others

To always tell the truth, be honest to oneself and all others, and always try to separate the truth from all the other bullshit that's presented to us. IMO, this is the rule by which all governments should be ruled. Thus; not present bullshit information to the people.

Oh really? if governments did not hide the truth, then that truth could be used by such people as terrorists. And also are u able to handle the real truth?

What truth could possibly be dangerous to the masses?

My personal philosophy is to just chill out and not be afraid of taking risks, because life is too short not to take some risks. If we lived for hundreds of years, risking your life would be way less attractive then to fully enjoy it.

(By risking, I mean, for example, asking a girl out or investing in some shares. I don't mean just risk for the heck of it, I mean risk with a benefit in mind.)

"used by terrorists" is the battle-cry of oppressive governments throughout history.

As is "I'm doing this for your own good".

    ...

It is true, that the vast unwashed majority often do not WANT the truth, as it would make them have to get up off their lazy butts, and maybe do something. They'd rather have a nice pablum-diet of false-rose-colored glasses.

But it does not mean it's a good idea, nor does it make for effective government ...

If it seems too good to be true...it probably is.

Well, that depends, if your society consists of three people, that one person is probably going to piss off the other two. Same no matter how large your society gets, that many people may not like it, but twice that many DO.

That'd be like damming up only part of the river, the rest of the water will still get by and wash away the village the next time it rains, so you haven't done anyone any good.

Imagine the panic when the united states finds out that there really were extra terrestrials at Roswell. Between myth's and hollywood, a very large group of people would immediately draw the conclusion that they're coming to destroy us. Regardless of some 60 years of quiet and no evidence to that end other than the fact that they were there. The panic would be phenomenal, beyond any control factor.

Imagine how people would react if they found out that our Government was really trying to occupy the mid east, not free it? If they found out that it was a war for oil and power and money, not for freedom, like so many people think it is? There would be huge protests, riots even.

The Government keeps secrets from us for a reason. Which is why the catch quote from V for Vendetta makes so much sense.

It would be generally to be honest, try and be the best you can be, further knowledge, and treat others you care about the way you'd want them to treat you, and to spend my time trying to do the things that make me and others happy and have fun, most of all life is too short to waste your time anywhere or on anyone undeserving of it, if you're lucky you get some to kill here and there but theres usually something productive you can be doing.

I think my philosophy would be to take the time to enjoy what you can, when you can. To do the best you can, for yourself and those around you, to learn all you can, so that can better yourself and fulfill your potential.
Respect is earnt, not given, age means nothing.
Humour is the saviour, not Christ, a good sense of humour will save you from that dark downward spiral.
Don't waste your time on fools, there are always people who are much more deserving.
Help all you can, stand proud and strong, but accept sometimes, everyone needs help.
Stand by those close to you, you don't know how long you'll have, so make the most of it all. I also believe in standing up for what I believe in, and never bowing to anyone, like I say, respect is earnt.
I believe in doing things for me, not because I've been told to.

Be your own person. Always stand for what you believe in.

Everyone puts a mask on their face under certain circumstances.
But never , ever put a mask on your heart under any circumstance.

    Understand ?

Thats the way I live my life.

If something makes you happy and doesn't hurt others -- by all means, go for it.

My personal philosphy focus' on religion in general.
"The concept of heaven was created because of mans fear of his own mortality, and the concept of hell was created to provide a feeling of comfort that all crimes that go unpunished will be brought to justice in another realm."
Which is why I consider myself agnostic.
