I've just noticed that if I post in the cesspool, it is not added to my post count! Is this a glitch in the system or is it supposed to be this way (as they don't really count as posts)? Does it happen in any other subforum? Like this one (I'll find out in about 10 seconds)!!!

OK, not this one :)

Supposed to be that way.

I also think that when a thread is moved to the cesspool, all posts that were in that thread are removed from your count. Would that be right as well?

You are correct on both accounts.

Does that mean he wins a stuffed tiger?

cesspool is to posts what the bermuda triangle is to ships.

You used to be able to see your entire postcount (including cesspool) when you used to use the option 'find all posts'.

I just tried, but it stops at 10,000 :(

The Cesspool is the place where SciForums's unintelligent blather goes. So it makes sense that it shouldn't count in your post count, which is meant to show how many posts you've made to the intelligent community.

At least, that's how I think about it.

Whereas I believe that the vast majority of deluded nonsense is spouted in the other forums, and that the Cesspool is where the sane seek temporary haven from drooling, bug-eyed lunatics.

But to each his own, I suppose.

I don't understand why many people give up on a thread the second it lands in the cesspool. As if there is some kind of honour code posting on an internet forum.

One may not post in the cesspool!!!

But you can my friends. Hence it is good.

I particularly like posting in Cesspool threads that no-one has posted in for at least 5 years.

I know what you mean. Back then cesspool threads still had quality!

Oooh, if that's not bragging, I don't know what is ;) :D

You mean you can't search your post history past 10,000?
That's sad.
Nobody can go back to search your very first post now...
