does anyone have any good poetry?

I go to www.poetry.com almost every day to try the poetry in motion....never won though. I've only submitted 2 poems, and the first one was considered so good that it was put on a cd collection. Thats my parents bragging rights :)

I can never seem to make my poetry happy, its always so depressing. I'll start out ok, and then it gets sadder, and sadder, and so on. I wanna make one that will lift up your spirits when you read it.

Love of My Youth

Are we doomed to never meet?
And yet we are in close proximity.
My soul is numb, my heart is beat.
By antipodal unanimity.

Is it but a hateful lie
created by a bitter rival?
I am confused, I dont see why
I feel the need for revival

She's everything ive ever wanted
The girl before is far away.
But I find myself still very haunted
By the love that went astray.

I must confess the unreal truth
for the love of my life
is the love of my youth
