Some of you have probably seen the quizes and such I've found recently. The sites give a block of gibberish(to me, anyway, I know it's a language of some sort), and the computer knows to display certain graphics this way. How does this work? Knowing the code, can you program a picture, ir is it some sort of reference to the original site to say what to put?

I'm not sure which site you refer to but if you aren't the only one to see code instead of an image (Like if you viewed a .bmp file with a notepad) then the likelihood is that the server that has the site has somehow got a corrupt HANDLER that is spouting the Graphics files out like Code rather than being interpreted properly.

If it's just you, then are you using one of the Linux browsers?

I'm just curious, that's all. If you look at my "Your ship" thread, afteer inserting the data it takes you to a site where you can get a block of text which, when pasted into a bblog or forum, makes the fancy chart thingy(edit: its in the sci-fi forum). I was just wondering how that works.
