ok, can someone experienced with photoshop tell me how i can get an effect of a colour fade across an image diagonally? i want it to start as a blue in one corner, then fade through white to a green in the other corner.

ok, ive found something called the gradient tool which looks like what i want, but how the hell to i apply the gradient once i set it up?

click and drag the length of your drag determines how the gradient is applied, experiment with it.

i can see all those, but i cant see an apply button anywhere!?!?!

Shouldn't be an apply button just choose the gradient click/hold drag and release.
