ok, after waiting a week for my new network switch/router to arrive(it still hasn't) I spent the best part of last night trying to get my faulty one to work, it seems I've accomplished networking although I still can't access it. I've got my network all up and running and I've got an internet connection, but I can't go online without a dns server(the one I was using doesn't seem to like my connection). can someone please find me one and email the IP address to me(email addy in profile)? im posting this on my treo and I can't read the forums too well with it, but I can receive email with it.

Doesn't your ISP provide a DNS server?

problem solved, ive located a dns server. just in case someone else needs one: 208.67.222.222
