click on the "+quote" button on the persons post, and it goes red. Then click on another "+quote" button on another post, and it 'll go red too. Carry on untill you reach the last post you want to quote, and press "quote". It'll then take you to the input box, with all the posts quoted. Or you could listen to [ENC]Absane[/ENC], but then no-one really pays attention to him.

the +QUOTE feature also includes order.
the quotes will appear in the order you click the +QUOTE button.

    example:
if you click my +QUOTE then nicks then absanes the reply box will have my quote first then nicks then absanes.

    Thanks for your responses,
Actually I misunderstood what the mutliquote was for. What I'm really trying to understand how to do is break up one person't quote so that I can reply to specific points they have made. Everytime I try and do it my response ends up as part of their quote.

    "Your Response Here"

    "Your Response Here"

    "Your Response Here"

If the above is what you want to accomplish then you will have to copy and paste a little bit. Hit the quote button of the post you want to respond to then copy and paste the bracketed QUOTE notations before and after the portions of the other person's post as shown below. I had to add the number 2 to the word QUOTE for demonstration purposes to allow the code to become visible to you. Do not use QUOTE2 in yours. Use QUOTE. Then just write your response after the isolated portions of the other person's post.

    [QUOTE2=grover;1326779]Thanks for your responses,
    [/QUOTE2]

    "Your Response Here"

[QUOTE2=grover;1326779]Actually I misunderstood what the mutliquote was for.[/QUOTE2]

    "Your Response Here"

[QUOTE2=grover;1326779]What I'm really trying to understand how to do is break up one person't quote so that I can reply to specific points they have made.[/QUOTE2]

    "Your Response Here"

[QUOTE2=grover;1326779]Everytime I try and do it my response ends up as part of their quote.[/QUOTE2]

That is what I do anyway. Hope this helps you!

Does anyone else have a better way?

lets take the above quote by you as an example.
but first lets talk about quote tags.
when the quote is in the reply box it begins with[QUOTE and ends with /QUOTE]
the end brackets are needed but i couldn't include them because it would quote.

okay i want to reply to "thanks for all your responses," so i point to the end comma and click my mouse button and the text cursor appears.
then i type [ and then /QUOTE] and press enter to move to the next line.
    the i type my response.

okay now i want to reply to actually i misunderstood what the multiquote was for.
i position the cursor right before I and click the mouse button. the arrow changes to a text cursor. then i type [ and then QUOTE] then i position the cursor right after "for." and click the mouse button. then i type [ and then /QUOTE]

it should turn out like this:
    etc. . .
