missing links

    no i am not talking biology here

    i have noticed that links do not show up in posts
    only when i reply to the post do i discover that it had a link in it

    i recently upgraded to broadband
    but when i use my old connection it still does it

    i also installed anti spam software but didn't like it
    so i uninstalled it, still happens

    my os is winme browser firefox

    any solutions?
    i will do a complete re-install if i have to

    the link in free thought doesn't show up in the op
    but it does when i hit reply and the qoute is in the reply box
    but as soon as i post it it disappears

    when i upgraded to broadband my isp told me that i
    would have a permanent connection to the internet
    so they would provide a firewall. could that be the problem?

    Doesn't appear that there are links in that thread, just "Images" that are served from f7.yahoofs.com

    It would suggest that they have rigged their Image serving so that if the file isn't asked for by a site in their allowed list (the yahoo network) or asked for directly, it won't show at all, thereby conserving bandwidth from image "Leeching".
