I read your thoughts on evolution and am making an offer: if you want a paperback copy of "The Last Civilization", I would be happy to mail you one of my extra copies. It deals with both social and biological evolution in a way that is relatively easy to grasp. My e-mail address is in my website: http://civilization-overview.com

With Four Year Strong as well, pretty awesome, pity Bad Religion aren't coming to the UK gig, but at least I'll see Rise Against.

i'm always surprised at how calm and laid back bad religion's singer is when he's performing.

i'm a metal head. punk's ok. i like some of it sometimes. it's a little too whimsical for my taste though. do you think that's a weird word to describe it?

i like to sing, and punk isn't really singer's music you know? oh, are you the singer? what i meant to say was...uh...

i just posted that on my own page. i hate it when i do that.

i saw them in louisville a few years ago in some really shwanky theater. it was AWESOME! the first set was the entire operation mindcrime record with actors on stage playing the parts! ah, i was in heaven! that's one of my all time favorite records.

that's metal, not glam. what, you don't dig the hair? i was thinking you could get a perm. j/k.

I really shouldn't post when I'm high :) OTOH, that was the most fun I've ever had with my boots on. I was hoping to start a perfect storm but it was barely getting off the ground when the moderator closed the tread. My "personality" was modelled on a Monty Python sketch I saw a million years ago. It was a total blast saying the most offensive things possible in a "reasoned" kind of way. Now, I'll go back to lurking. Live long and prosper.

      Therein lies the problem though..

Why would someone that has more than another, want to hold hands and share the wealth, so to speak?

It all comes down to greed, and power over others...It's human nature.. We want to be the "Alpha"..It's really not a political problem, so much as a human condition..

If I have more than you, I'm better than you..Why would I share?

Once we can change our way of thinking, we can change governments, and world views.. Sadly, this will take quite some time.

That may well be true..Most likely is..

But, both sides of my family came here from Europe just after WW2.

I'm the first generation born here in America...I guess I feel an obligation of sorts...And truth is, I've done ok..

I'm doing alright financially, and have been lucky enough to get a college education at the expense of my Gov't..

But, as I said, we DO need change..Just not sure where that starts.

I hope to see it in my lifetime though..And hopefully, I will have some kind of hand in it.

Truth is, I love my country..I served, and defended it in the military.

I still serve it now, in my job..Does it need changes though?..YES!

And I voice my opinions daily..Which makes me unpopular to many.

But, at least I have the freedom to express my opinion, I'm grateful for that.

      It's a job dude...It pays the bills..

Doesn't mean I agree with all I see...I guess that does make me a bit of a sell out.. But, as they say..."When in Rome"..

Not saying it's right, but, change comes from within...I do voice my opinions at my job...Which makes me a bit less than "acceptable" to many.

      Personally, I think the U.S. Gov't sucks...It's time for a complete overhaul.

The power should go back to the people, not stay with the good ol' boys.

But, I work for the Gov't, so I can't really take any action....Yet.

I can't say I believe in anarchy or communism...So far neither has shown any signs of success..

But, our current way of living needs a change.
