Since my name comes up here in GOOGLE, I should clarify that I am the one who authored the book "The Last Civilization." There is also my book website at http:civilization-overview.com The decades of study and research that went into the book began as an effort to explain why civilizations rise and fall and ended with the full development of the theory of social evolution, the one that replaces the perplexing "meme" theory. The reader is cautioned, however. The shocking objectivity the task required is immensely disturbing to people. It's science is completely divested from the secular and religious ideals that have been rationalized into the more-or-less consensus of modern social theory. Thus, the projections made in the book are proving to be unpleasant just to the extent they are proving to be accurate.
