I tried to go to the link at your 'About Me' page, Kittamaru, but the link seems to be broken?
Thanks for the help last night, greatly appreciated...:-) I'm a mod on two other sites...I know what a thankless job it is... Keep up the good work...
how are you?
Congrats on the promotion.
Congratulations, Kit. Well earned.
Congrats Kit, you made mod.
Ah, I just get inflammation all over the place-big tubes, little tubes, accompanied by excess phlegm production so that it's not just constricted, but all gummed up as well. I also have scarring from childhood pneumonias...you can actually see white stuff inside my lungs on x-ray. I don't know that my capacity is great for my size...although losing a bunch of weight helped A LOT. I think 150 is what I ought to weigh( at 5'9")and that's where I am. So, less tissue to keep oxygenated, less fat to produce inflammatory proteins.
Oh, they cut my theophylline to what I'm actually taking. I am disappoint, I was getting half-price drugs... You will get resensitized to albuterol/combivent if you stay off it for a while. Do remember caffeine is a bronchiodilator:coffee-chugging can help if you have an attack...also chewing a couple of benadryl caps can head it off-if you're having an allergic response and will have an asthma attack soon if nothing stops it. Worst comes to worst, primatene...watch out for those pesky chest pains...:( Aerobic exercise definitely does improve things over time. BTW, what are those breathing exercises? Do you have a link?
You might check into quercetin then if you're allergy-induced...it's an OTC supplement. Also nasal rinsing, plus zyrtec if not taking already-it's gone OTC. But quercetin seems to work the same way as Singulair-it stabilizes mast cells, prevents allergy and asthma attacks from occurring. It also lowers inflammation. You just have to take a lot-I felt no change below 3200mg 2x-day. I'm currently taking 17,600 milligrams...as much as the rheumatoid arthritis people take. The more I take, the more it helps-the only limiting factor being cost. I have to get my script drugs from the county poor people's system...before that I was going broke buying things, first domestically, then from an interesting website based in Vanuatu. I'm not good at thinking happy thoughts, and before my current cocktail, I was probably minus about a third lung capacity constantly. On it I can run, bike, lift weights.
Hey...we should compare asthma cocktails... Currently using: combivent, symbicort, a little extralegal flovent for special occasions, quercetin megadose, zyrtec, claritin (only a preventive)singulair...and I should be on theophylline, but I can't find the last bottle.., so I'm chugging a lot of white tea.
