Interesting however you say that consciousness is in your toaster. One of my main argyuements is that consciousness is not outside the laws of physics, that there may even be a ''probability field'' or P-Field that governs the liklihood of a ''thing'' whether that be innanimate or biological moving matter to gain a consciousness. So your toaster will have a probability field which is vanishingly low for the probability of consciousness to arise from it.
