Skinwalker has closed the thread, so i am rsponding here see my edit. When tafsirs include interpretations from any orthodox scholar unfamiliar to non-Muslims [and many Muslims] its dangerous not to offer alternative opinions. e.g. I have read Quranic tafsirs of Surah al Fatiha where in the last verse 1:7 صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنعَمتَ عَلَيهِمْ غَيرِ المَغضُوبِ عَلَيهِمْ وَلاَ الضَّالِّين The tafsir of the translation: The path of those on whom You have bestowed your grace, not of those who have earned Your anger, nor of those who go astray. includes stuff like this not of those who have earned Your anger [like the Jews] nor of those who go astray [like the Christians] which of course leads people to believe that the Quran is saying things about Jews and Muslims, when it is not
Salam DiamondHearts, thank you for your message, it is a big lost for us that you would not be around anymore. I myself rarely login right now because I am having only short time to be with family and friends before I depart again for long time. I hope you would come again from time to time. Thanks also for your advice. My sister is currently pregnant, and my brother is having cancer, so if you could pray for us, I really appreciate it. I will copy this message and PM it to you. Take care and see you around, assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarokatuh.
