I won't say that I wasn't touched by your words. It's just that I've been down this road before (page 3). Ruth never wrote back and also didn't bit at my fraudulent offer.

Needless to say, this period has been painful for me - a time of reflection and self-examination, and also of re-editing the text of my 419 scheme.
