You are right that my term "consciousness" denotes a sense of 'self-awareness. it also denotes a spiritual meaning. So, I have replaced it with " Adaptive irritability" or "Awareness itself". And I have suggested that though life is SUPPORTED by the entire cell, the chief characteristic of life, that is adaptive irritability, is generated around the cell membrane in the form of membrane potentials. Also, our human mind and thought is nothing but manifestations of membrane potentials. Thank you for your suggestion: I DID make my theory more clear to scientists and happy to inform you that I DO have some important audience.

I concur, Ophiolite, and wish I'd been able to read your deleted post. A couple of moderators are dragging down important Forums, and SciFor may be de-evolving into a mere Blog. One can't help but recall certain passages of "Animal Farm"... "two legs good, four legs banned."

I am appalled at the biased, inconsistent, illogical moderation on this forum. Enough may be finally enough.
