hello guys,
I buy a new car and my friend show me the newest people's development : magnesium wheels!
It's really interesting to see how fast the science and technology going on! Sciece and technology go together and create very useful things for us.
I see and some information in internet about that:

magnesium.com announces its inaugural "BEST NEW WHEEL DESIGN COMPETITION" for 2006. The competition is an excellent opportunity to introduce cutting-edge concepts and design to the automotive magnesium wheel industry. You are limited only by your creativity.

Magnesium is the metal of the future that will revolutionize automotive design and manufacturing. True "Mag Wheels" are finally in the line of vision for auto manufacturers. Magnesium wheels are on Formula One race cars, high-end luxury and sports vehicles and becoming a sought-after accessory in the after-market world.

magnesium... is great... but i would never drive a car made out of it.

it burns.... at 3000 degrees F... very hot.

just take a blow torch to your new rims... and watch the show.

it will light up like the sun.... and your car will melt. part of it anyway.

I CAN'T capitalise enough - THANKYOU!

You're joking? "Mag wheels" have been around since the 1960s, if not a few years earlier.

I could be wrong but wasnt those just regular aluminum wheels that everyone used to call mags?
isnt magnesium bit too expensive, hence mostly formula 1 cars use it.
