logarithmic potential

    Hi all there,
    The logarithmic potential is defined on C, for a finite Borel mesure as below:
    u(z)= - \int log |z-t| d\mu(t)

    How can I see that

    u(z)=\lim_{M-->\infty} \int [min (M, -log(|z-t|))] d\mu(t).

    Please help.
