View Full Version : keep getting poked on f/book
outlandish 12-05-07, 02:10 PM ...by the same friend, like every other day or so.
i'm unsure of the protocol, but i poke back out of courtesy. but what is the protocol? does he (yes its a he *sigh* if it was a chic....) want me to msg him? or call him? what??
is there something deeper? a level of homo-eroticism perhaps??
he knows i don't swing that way,...am i readinhg too much into it??
outlandish 12-05-07, 02:43 PM sounds like love
thought had crossed my mind, but surely that's arrogant of me?
Nah, your personality is so attractive, its the obvious conclusion.

oh, as we're on the subject of f/book (and such like), i wanted to get your thoughts on something.
ok, hypothetical situation, you're happily married. you love your guy, and he loves you. you have a good solid relationship built on trust.
would you be ok with your guy having the password to your email and f/book and other such accounts?
would you want his passwords?
spidergoat 12-05-07, 03:06 PM If you don't have trust, you have nothing.
its time to beat that friend up...in a nice way of course.

Sure, I have no secrets. :p
would you want his passwords?
That's upto him surely?

mark zuckerburg has indeed changed the face of comtemporary culture and it's impact on society
eww...sounds like one of those awful mission statements.
outlandish 12-05-07, 03:11 PM Sure, I have no secrets. :p
so, you would volunteer this info over to him?
discuss the matter?
?
That's upto him surely?
but would you want his passwords?

you're single aren't you?

I would not hide it. Either I trust him or I don't
but would you want his passwords?
Why?
you're single aren't you?
I would prefer to be comfortably single than involved in a cloak and dagger relationship.
your friend is masterminding to lure you into a trap, when you will feel like he is very passionate about you, you will invite him to your house...and than he will take out a gun and demand your passwords to your secret files and your credit card numbers...he will than tie you up to a chair and laugh at you. The next day he will play like nothing happened...and no one will suspect a thing.

and let's take this further.
there's been much said about the concept of cyber infidelity, if you found emails on your guy's pc from another girl, emails which he had not told you about, would you consider this infidelity? (to clarify they haven't physically met up, all contact just vis email)
??
what about his msn contacts? would you mind him still having old female friends (whom he knew before he hooked up with you) on his msn list?
outlandish 12-05-07, 03:19 PM I would not hide it. Either I trust him or I don't
Why?
i'm asking you.
would you ask him for his passwords or not??

Just emails? lol; should i have a secret camera in his briefcase to spy on the girls he talks to as well?
Anyway all the guys I know talk about their previous friends.
I usually don't go for the secretive types.
I'm not dumping my friends for anyone, why should he?
outlandish ask him for his passwords...and than he will ask you for your passwords...and than you will get close and than he will beat you up. Predator's start with poking...end with knifes.
spidergoat 12-05-07, 03:24 PM you're single aren't you?
Are you poking me?
i'm asking you.
would you ask him for his passwords or not??
Hmm I don't really forsee any situation where I would want to.
I'm not nosy, though I can be curious, but my interest is directly proportional to your desire to confide.

my point is that this whole concept of cyber communication introduces a comletely new set of problems/parameters/boundries to the context of relationships.
so, you would have no problem with him chatting to some chic on msn that he knew at school, or uni or whatever?
what would you say if he asked you to delete certain msn contacts?
outlandish 12-05-07, 03:28 PM Hmm I don't really forsee any situation where I would want to.
oh come on cdkey! you're a woman, you all have latent inherent mistrust of the male species! it's in your genes.

my desire to confide??
(confused)

Well if he was talking to her ALL the time, I would kick him out, he's just taking up space in my life. But as a casual friendship?
what would you say if he asked you to delete certain msn contacts?
Fuck off?
outlandish 12-05-07, 03:30 PM Are you poking me?
in yer dreams goaty;)

I have good radar
my desire to confide??
(confused)
In a manner of speaking.
spidergoat 12-05-07, 03:31 PM in yer dreams goaty;)
Such a flirt! I'm going to sleep right now...

but surely you recognise the ease that these types of communication can increase the chances of infidelity by providing the right type of environment?

ok, lets clarify,
you wouldn't let him delete certain msn contacts on your list?
you wouldn't ask him for any passwords?
hmmm.
but surely you recognise the ease that these types of communication can increase the chances of infidelity by providing the right type of environment?
As compared to all previous centuries of utter fidelity?
Hmm you're right. A ball and chain is in order.
Why do I get the feeling that you are the 'girl' who wants the passwords and wants 'her' significant other to delete the msn contacts?:D
outlandish 12-05-07, 03:48 PM As compared to all previous centuries of utter fidelity?
but i'm not discussing infidelity within historical context. previous centuries of infideltity is irrelevant to this, my point is the nature of these relatively new phenomenon, and their impact on relationships today.

kinky.

oh bugger...yessss samantha, i am a girlie.
lets talk lipgloss.

Ah so guys (just guys?) are less committed and more casual these days. They don't want a stable long term relationship, just fly by night adventures?
kinky.
Yeah, you should see where the ring for the chain is.

Lipgloss is yucky.
outlandish 12-05-07, 04:09 PM Ah so guys (just guys?) are less committed and more casual these days. They don't want a stable long term relationship, just fly by night adventures?
i didn't make any specific refference to males being more likely to be unfaithful (although historically this has been shown to be the case statistically, but this is irrelevant) on the contrary, i'm suggesting that these new concepts have made, and are making it easier for both sexes to be unfatihful, or at leat provide the environment for potential infidelity to occour.
would you not agree?
you're so single at the moment, it's palpable lol.
just wait till you're in a rel.
Yeah, you should see where the ring for the chain is.
do tell, spare no detail
Lipgloss is yucky.
lol, yeh like none's ever touched your lips.
you fool no one sid, all this tomboy shit.
you're a girlie girl.
