Ok, I won't hold out: this thread has very little to do with Asimov per say, it was mainly an attention grabber

Y'know his short story "Nightfall"? Does anyone know where I can download the audio version (read by Dan Lazar, broadcast on DimensionX NBC Sept/1951)? While I'm asking, does anyone know where to also get "The Wind" by Ray Bradbury? THX.

Now that I think of it, does anyone know where to get ANY audio files of sci-fi short stories?

Well, a file transfer client (or whatever you call them), such as Porfiry's marvellous 'Acquistion' will help. But Acq is for Mac, althought there are loads more about, espesh for PC.

Not so sure about audio files, but there is plenty of txt stuff available. Check on .pdf, .txt, .zip, or just book, author name, you get the picture...

Apologies if this is a lesson in sucking eggs. Just trying to help

    well

Well, I've already read them, so it's not text that I'm after. I've really gotten into radio plays, and since Nightfall is probably my fave short story, I just wanna hear it.

I've tried a lot of p2p clients, IRC, everything...short of buying it, i can't seem to find it

Hey, someone posted an Isaac Asimov thread and I wasn't invited? *insert some random swear words*

Nightfall was a great book (short story + full length version). Especially at the end, where everyone goes insane.

I like that kind of stuff. It's weird though, because I kept imagining them as people, when they're actually aliens that probably look nothing like us. (wait, i might be wrong... It's been some time since I've read it.)

Nightfall was an excellent short story. Like %BlueSoulRobot%, it has been a while since I read it.

As far as obtaining e-books, verbals, and the like, you could try neomodus. There is one hub that specializes in such as downloads. The only thing is that you must have a minimum amount of downloads to access the site. It is not necessary that they be e-books but they must be of value to others for share. After that it is a matter of luck and who is on line at the time. You get to look at what they have chosen to share and download it if you are interested.

You Killed Jesus turned me on to the site after Audiogalaxy went down the drain. You can do a search for the site or you can go to the Art and Culture forum and look for the thread Audiogalaxy to find the link. It takes a little getting used to but after that it is not hard to use. It is always a suprise in what you can find there. It is also a source for games, movies, music, and programs.
