View Full Version : i don't know what to call this, but if any of you know the answer to my question...
Grey Seal 02-14-03, 12:54 AM tonight i was watching this new show called "are you hot?"
it was sort of a star search type show, but instead of talent they were searching for the 'hottest' people in america.
there were some pretty damn attractive people on there. they knew they were attractive, otherwise why would they try out for it? anyway, i also saw a few fat and ugly men and women on there. this one woman was maybe...250-300 pounds and just pure raging ugly. she was going off at the camera telling everyone that she 'would be the one.' that she had what it takes and she was sexy. there were other people on there, they weren't really fat, but more just out of shape...they were far from attractive, yet they seemed to have it in their heads that they were hot shit. however, it did make me feel better by seeing these ugly people get told that they were ugly...they cried too. it was pretty funny. here they go and sign up for an audition...knowing perfectly well what to expect, and when they are told they aren't the hottest people in america it's like their whole world collapsed. it seemed like they actually thought they were too.
the thing that i'm wondering about is how did these ugly people get it into their heads that they are hot shit? they were serious too, they really thought they had something.
there were some seriously attractive people on there though. the thing that ruined it is when some of them opened their mouthes and started talking about how attractive they were...that just ruined it...
anyway, here's the question...how do unnattractive people get it into their heads that they are hot shit?
VANITY..Is thr greatest failure in all of us..
spuriousmonkey 02-14-03, 04:30 AM ugly people produce certain hormones, the 'Uglomones', which alter the structure of the brain. because of this different structure the visual imput received by the retinas is processed differently. The image is distorted and the appearance is created of magnificent beauty.
btw I am truly spectacularly beautiful...jummie jummie...
Dwayne D.L.Rabon 02-14-03, 04:57 AM Well, i would have to say that many people want what they want regardless of what is correct, basically people are greedy in all finds of way not just greedy with the food. for instance a homosexual thinks that men like him sexually when they don't, or many women who think its fair socially that men should pay for child support children that women rasie, black people who think that affirmative action laws are fair out side of goverment employment structure, lets face it you have children that think the moon is made of cheese,
these people are just not able to see the facts as they are, what they think is that life is just made up, oe make believe. the reality is that liife is not a fansaty, people in the world actually bleed blood, they starve if they don,t eat food, the world is made of atoms, to them and as well to alot of people don't think that way, right of wrong, logic, real or unreal makes no difference to them.
that may be fine when your a child, for some, but when they become adult or are in there teens ect..... that imaginenation need to be on whats real and how to use whats real.

Isn't the definition of "beauty" subjective?:bugeye:
Dwayne D.L.Rabon 02-14-03, 05:26 AM Well i guess its all about who you interpted the word, may be they think that ther personality is the hottest .
or made the use the beautful, as meaning that they have of lot, like they have alot of fat, or food, or are real big.
the common relation to the word is attractive.
and after all each person is intitaled to there own opinion, see that it remain a opinion even if that opinion is deliroius, and well beauty is in the eye of the beholder. plainly the majotiry of public opinion reflects that fat is not beautyfull. and factually fat is not attractive from a science point of relfection.

Beauty is subjective, for example I like blonde girls with blue eyes, beauty is fine, but if it creates vanity..then the thing to go for is personality..size , colour, shape does not really matter...
I am beautiful no matter what they say
Words can't bring me down
I am beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring me down
So don't you bring me down today
-Beautiful, sung by Christina Aguilera (sorry if the name is spelt wrong)
people are often told they are beautiful to stop them feeling down and to prevent them from thinking they are never going to get anywhere in life because they are what we call 'ugly.' i think this song shows that everyone is beautiful in their own special way, everyone is talented in some way or another, just sometimes people get the wong idea, and take compliments a little to seriously. Surely some people must look in a mirror sometimes and think, I AM beautiful, no matter what they say....
Also if you are a true friend, do you tell your friend they are ugly and take the honest way yet seem big-headed at the same time? Is there a subtle way to tell someone they are ugly?or do you tell them they are beautiful to make them feel great about themselves and give them the confidence they need?
Too much is based on looks nowadays, cosmetic surgery is mighty expensive, and not everyone can be naturally stunning, people can ignore the people with the greatest personalities just because they are what we consider 'ugly' Why should people insist on having labels for people like this?
Mud sticks, be careful how you throw it.
Dr Lou Natic 03-16-03, 07:11 AM Christina's "beautiful" song sure was a surefire way to make money.
As soon as I heard it I just knew millions of ug-mo's would race out, buy it and embrace it.
Its kind of cheap aiming music at the emotionally fragile like that, like shooting fish in a barrel.
I bet any money that song was a retort to the many millions of hilarious "christina aguillera looks like a cheap tramp" jokes made by conan o'brien:p
the point i was TRYING to make before i was so RUDELY interupted, was that is how people get to think that they are beautiful, they get the wrong idea and believe they are beautiful in the wrong sort of way, on the outside when really it is meant on the inside. Insecurity is the key.
