ive taken out my universal joint, and got a new one, but ive discovered it comes with something calld circlips, and have no idea where to put them. any help? (preferrably a diagram)

make sure you pack the body of the U-joint with grease after installation.

i got it sorted out the other day with the help of my brother(an engineer). it turns out the reason the circlips werent going in was because the guy at the part store had given me one with external circlips(as per the diagram) even though i took in my old one with internal circlips and asked for a new one.

its easy to confuse your circlips.
