Please explain the method attempted and the reason you think it failed?

Gamma radiation is far more effective.

    Ummmmm Gamma radiation

Have you discovered a method of focusing said radiation on each of the cells in your body along with a method of ensuring each cell's DNA (ALL cells) match?

Woah there! He just wanted to CHANGE his DNA. Gamma radiation is great for that. Now don't go adding requirements on top of that.

    Understood

However I am going to presume the DNA he currently has has done well so far in keeping him alive

Guessing he wishes to stay alive. That would require knowledge of DNA combinations compatible with his current lifestyle

A flood of Gamma over the body will result in a wide range of changes and since there would be many more bad changes than good please save your Woah for him

You're never going to become Firestorm or Dr. Manhattan with an attitude like that.

What kind of attitude does it take?

An attitude that says "change my DNA! Sure, 99.99% of mutations are bad, but I'm going to be the exception and get superpowers!"

Turtles stand a greater chance of having superpowers then you do they have 23 chemical elements … teenage mutant ninja turtles.

Fair point. But remember - quitters never win, and winners never quit. Don't let the fear of some bad thing happening keep you from a possible life of crimefighting and worldsaving.

And if your sexual genetic code mutates you could be the first superpowered superhero who not only changes from meek and mild to Super Hero but Super Hero of the opposite gender

Many in America believe that aspect, changing gender, already is possible, simply by a person proclaiming it is so
