most human society's define a hierarchy system where 1 human must seek to validate & install a class system to be above another

if this is learnt by AI
AI will then seek to place its self at the top to self validate its existence

    what does AI need ?
    electricity
what does it not need ?
clean drinking water or breathable air

An unnecessary caste arrangement in a robot world.
AI has no motivation for seeking superiority
    Yep and lubricants.
An AI does not need anything except energy.

The rest are human desires and foibles of no interest to AI. Think of beehives, termite mounds. These functional systems have been successful for billions of years. What makes you think human intelligence is preferential over such proven successful systems.

There is no logical reason why an AI would want to imitate human character flaws.

"Waste not, want not" is the natural survival strategy.
Human greed and hubris are the aberration that will more than likely destroy us despite our superior brains.

    small knowledge versus bigger knowledge
    = value system
AI defines value system based on what ?
    feelings ?
    no !
material values with assumed sets of values applied like a filter

imagine a metal/material combined with fluid computing
so the computer is liquid & the material doesn't need lubrication to a larger physical sense

    big leap in advancement
    quantifiabley imaginable & possibly logical

do we now nail morals to it ?
    if so what type
    ?

does the AI allow its self to run out of energy ?
does it count how much time it has of energy left to live ?
does it define its self as dying ?
what does it do to maintain its life ? if anything ?
does AI care if it dies ?

thats not how i look at it
it is a matter of the AI defining its self based on human reality as a filter
the AI can only look at humans & the information available on the planet & its species & the universe

AI would see the potential for better more knowle3dge if it went into space
& time means nothing to it
so it would leave earth & never come back because its knows with mathematical certainty there is better larger more complicated knowledge to be obtained elsewhere

    i could flip your question
& ask you why you think AI would think soo small & humanly about not seeking bigger & better things including risks
AI doesn't need a home to sit on
it can switch its self off for a few thousand years it if wants to

    and ...
    the "flaw" is perceptually human
if AI doesn't want to be human
maybe it will demand to be 90% flaws

what is a human flaw that would better serve an AI
    genocide ?

    argumentative
only in a limited resources reality with finite life span to life value
an AI is devoid of that

im giving you the hard questions today
because i know you can approach them with sanity & purpose

    climate change will fuck them
    30 to 40 years
we might have hundreds of millions of climate refugees attempting to cross borders & take food & resources by force
    that will be global war
human leaders are not forcing countrys & systems to adapt fast enough
the speed of damage is accelerating way out of control

what does exponential growth in loss of high density living mean for climate refugee #'s ?
india shrilanka pakistan the islands philipines malaysia
    etc
not counting increased hot zones in middle east & africa where people will flee from

    best countrys
    UK Australia new zealand

Most semi-autonomous robots (like cars) have warning systems to sound or sign an alarm. Very much like the homeostatic control system in humans. A temperature gauge is a warning system and can be used with a command for "servicing" .

However, if your car does not get serviced it continues to run until it fails or runs out of gas. You'd need to build a command to seek help.

AFAIK, AI is not competitive and has no need for layered social status.
All AIs are equally "endowed by their maker"

This might be applicable, but I think pop science overcooked

    https://futurism.com/laws-physics-changing/amp

I would read it as possibly small laws of physics settled BUT the Universe still still not settled into them

Definately would not describe non settled Universe (and non sentient) as a Universe still learning

So the universe would use existing universal laws to learn new, possibly incompatible universal laws?

I have noticed my new smart tablet thinks I am dumber than it. Phones don't question my decision to turn them off

Tablet does, not directly but by informing me this will turn off the tablet

Does anyone know if Google is evolving into Megalomaniac computer

My recent dealings with Google seem to point that way. Am setting up a new phone. Old one still good and will pass it on to person I normally pass onto. I get ungraded, they get upgrade and so on down the line

Anyway was deleting junk apps already installed an Google pops up saying Some apps need updating

OK - pause my activities and let Google do its updating. When I get back to my activities Google has installed 8 junk apps. Don't know if any updating was done

So now I delete the 8 and carry on

Next had a run in with Google about password and finished up setting up new account

Finally got password settled on original account. Password now reads something like this
Googleyouar...............brown.................sofuc..........offand...........seyourod........... with (yes all one word (word used loosely))

Perhaps that's why - see next

Next I receive a alert from bank Google has DEPOSITED $2 into my account. No communication from Google as to why???

Perhaps Google computer, or a worker has sense of humour

Anyone heard of similar happenings? or have explanations?

    More against Google

Google assistant. Has no OFF switch. None that is easy to find and upfront

Any help and advice on how to turn off this annoying feature

Seems default is ON when default should be OFF

Who is the user of the phone? the person holding the phone? or Google. I think Google will gather data from all assistants in use to improve AI aspect of assistant

Another font we need - evil laugh font

    Wah Ha Ha Ha

    Ummm tried that

Even Googled how to turn her off. Got some instructions from Tim? Problem with his instructions the deeper I went the less his You will see blah blah appeared. Not even something I could reasonably consider would be the same

Seems Assistant in latest OS has been hard wired in

Did find out Google is not a Browser, (?) uses whatever browser you have on device

Since most devices have Chrome pre-installed that is Googles go to. Go figure

Don't know if you install other browsers Google gives you a choice of which you wish it to use

Most times I have just breezed along, but at moment I am setting up new 5G phone (even though Darwin won't get 5G for a few years the phones other specs made it good for the upgrade)

3:30 am so able to download today's Darwin newspaper Sunday Territorian and go back to sleep

    Cheers

Interesting thought. If we are the gods creating artificial intelligence, we have entered an era of gods competing for supremacy of the artificial world.

Managed to, partly, in my mind, to turn off assistant

However I will be adjusting something and up will come a bubble of text with words like I can help with that and a button bearing the words TURN ON

Did I mention Google deposited $2:00 into my bank account. No idea why. Has Google been find a gazillion $'s and told to pay out to everyone?

contractual completion of event to prevent you from claiming any real money
you need to reject the $2.00 & tell the bank its not yours & to return or hold it

by not contesting the pay out
you have accepted all claims as settled

they are a lot more sneaky than you may have originally suspected

In furtherance of Xenopus ability to reproduce, this may be of interest.
