I have got into acrilic "pour" art.
Heaps on YouTube and although it is not far past finger painting is is extremely satisfying.
    I post my efforts.
Also I am making a chess set using clay from the side of the road..it is excellent stuff..I have added sawdust and plan to fire the completed pieces in a forge using cow manure for fuel..it burns very hot...the forge uses a weed blower and will melt iron.
I post photos of two pieces.
The idea is that each piece will be individual so as to take away the pressure of say all pawns looking the same.
The wrinkle will be with the board which will be blocks of wood of varying heights so no two squares will be on the same level. I have made 12 pieces but the ones shown will probably be a king and a pawn. I will be doing more adjustment to each before firing.
No... none of this will be for sale.

That's interesting and timely, I was just painting (not pouring) with acrylics tonight. That's a cool idea regarding the chess set.

I get so frustrated with my "art". I go past the point where you should stop.
What are you working on...please confide...what are you doing? And why..

The chess set is a brilliant idea so reflective of my creativity. But how cool to personalise it with characters that by their countenance show they are individuals.
My idea is brilliant ...so me.

Just learning to paint with acrylics. I did one abstract as well with a painters "knife" to avoid the more messy aspects of pouring. Why? Just for relaxation.

How is your health these days? What is your next project?

I have had something like flu for a month which made life difficult as I could not bring myself to image on three perfect nights...so I must have been really crook.
Legs have been bad for a couple of days but I took to the bottle, one gone over 24 hours, which gave me a rest..they are still burning but the little break has me now able to manage.

I love painting with artists knives.

As to future projects...I just want to finish the observatory, set up two scopes and run them via wifi from the comfort of the van..I need another wifi unit and another astro camera but completing the build is the main issue.
Same for the chess set ..still have pieces to make..have all the blocks for the board and base ...just need a little time.
As to next art thing...I am thinking of a bust..head on some shoulders..I did do one in cement which was very satisfying..I can't post a photo as it's at the old place and I don't go there.
But the clay and sawdust seems like a great medium and it is on the edges of the road near my van...the bust may crack when fired but that should give it character...we shall see.
Now that I have my forge at the van I may do some casting in bronze, not sure what...I tried it a long time ago using a iron crucible and melted the bottom so I plan to make one with the clay and sawdust approach.
