I'm watching this Youtube video thats entitled "Liveleak Viral videos compilation". This guy on a moped pules up beside this pickup in a bit of a traffic jam and in front of some guys that have a dash cam. Guy gets off the moped. Harasses pick up... Breaks passenger window... throws couple punches inside... Nice stuff for about a minute. When he tries to leave, the passenger gets out and starts beating on him and then more and guys get in... (Haven't finished video yet, am kinda stoned Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!) Anyway, is he legally obliged to submit his dash video as evidence?
I think he's not obliged to do anything that will incriminate himself. But even if he does have to ... "Oops. I forgot to save the video. It got overwritten. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!"
cant he just pardon himself anyway ... like Hitler or Mussolini or Genghis khan or poll-pot .. in the good ol american justice system ... ? if it is his then it is not evidence if it is not his then it is evidence who is paying all these judges and court room fees out of whos pocket ? how many children have they denied medical care for to pay for this republican party media circus?
switching between threads got the header confused lol not stoned depends on the crime being committed & the country. most western countrys consider grievous bodily harm as a serious crime & failure to report it is considered a crime. traffic accidents have their own law if there is no injury then insurance companies require you to report the accident if you are making a claim so in places like UK & the USA it is far more likely to be charged with insurance fraud for failure to report even if you are not at fault, because insurance is compulsory. any western country where a person is injured during the coarse of a traffic incident/accident has a manditory reporting requirement. the video evidence is not required to report the crime/injury but failure to advise the police or judge will likely result in a contempt of court ruling by a judge who can simply send police in to raid your house and take what they need or lock you up depending on what type criminal you are. some crimes like sexual assault probably have compulsory reporting even though they may not be considered grievous bodily harm that social moral court seems to be out currently. so even if no one was punched really hard and didnt seem very hurt, if someone touches another person sexually but does not inflict bodily harm, then that becomes mandatory reporting of a sexual assault. same with hate crimes possibly though i think that legislation is yet to be completed. in most muslim countrys touching a women sexually may result in the death penalty even though no physical injury may have occurred. it is also likely to result in the charging of the victim for being in a position where a man can get close to them.
couple of thoughts 1) the video clip most likely only showed the end of what might have been a much longer saga. ask yourself: What may have happened earlier to lead the moped guy to attack the pick-up guy(s)? 2) the camera guy is under no legal obligation to share his video----seems a moot point after being posted on the web--- however if subpoenaed, then the matter is with the court, and he may be required to submit the entire video, and/or camera-----this may be different in different states?
i have wondered what mental damage it does to people to watch such things soo much rape & assault etc... sadistic human behavior inflicting pain and suffering on others, constantly normalised into the psyche... when i was younger i was very interested to see such things as i had never seen them before. now i am not interested in viewing such things for pleasure.
If you are insinuating I watched something like that, you're wrong. It was a Youtube video of a Liveleak compilation of viral videos i.e. it met their standards. Anyway, I could say the universe is both wondrous and grotesque so it's not for the faint of heart to be an explorer. But why?
Why do you assume it's normalized? It is quite conceivable to watch a horror and be so mortified as to have it borne into the soul and into action. Take the example of pork and chicken factories. They show these videos of inhumane treatment, and it galvanizes people into action, often so far as to turn many of them vegetarian for life (and, of course, some of them go on to take up the fight).
I was a vegetarian for a couple of years...got to feel morally superior and physically ill so I quit. We are the principal predator on this planet. Our body shape and function are one with our long history of predation and strife, so we are drawn to blood and gore. We are a social animal though, so we have had to evolve rules of conduct in order to (mostly) survive living together. Throw in a dash of built-in avoidance of death/disease/physical threat, whether real or implied/imagined, and here we are. Personally, interpersonal violence and abuse were what I grew up with, so living with and being involved in violence of many kinds was just my normal life. That was until I seriously took up martial arts. I began to moderate how I handled violent encounters. I deeply appreciate that most folks don't even start t hat process, however. There had to have been a 'road rage' interaction of some kind. I quit riding my beautiful Harley Davidson that I loved because traffic got bad and it hasn't gotten better. Now, I am dodging traffic when I cross the street with the light in the crosswalk in broad daylight. Many people have their nose in their phone, many are just plain nasty and/or don't care if they hit a pedestrian, bicyclist or motorcyclist. Many here in Detroit will hit you, kill you, and split the scene. Race, age, religion or whatever doesn't seem to matter - on either the drivers or the pedestrian/cyclist part. My personal conclusion was that 2 wheels are not safe in traffic no matter how aware and clear-headed you are. Having been hit by a car in a crosswalk, I can testify that such things really piss one off, but.......as Master Yu told us "Do not pick fight with stranger, as you do not know what he have in pocket."
you probably were not doing it right did you lord your hypocritical moral superiority over others whom didnt know any better ? thats probably what you forgot to do. on a more practical note, there is such a vast array of different foods mixed into vegetarian food, the chances are very high that the average person is allergic to some things inside various mixed vegetarian diets(hayfever type stomach and mucus reactions to seeds and grains and various flowers & plants). add to that the hypersensatisation to food additives ... the different bacteria you require for a vegetarian digestion how that changes your body chemistry etc... as quickly as you build a list of alternative foods, you probably need to build a list of food additive products and pesticide filled fruits & vegetables to avoid. animal fat is a good carrier which helps to move things through your intestines which might otherwise get more intensely digested resulting in a bad outcome. the leaner the fuel, the better quality the fuel must be. what i am fascinated about in this particular topic is the transference of justification of sadistic desire to be played out inside morally sanctified realms of "revenge" or "karma" urban moral psychopathic transference. such videos have massive interest. yet if you were to ask all the viewers if they enjoy watching people suffer they would probably not be able to cope with the question and have a mini emotional melt down... like 2 responses above ^
From bottom up, RS. No, I want you to start dissing me cause I'm bored. In which way do you think I took "pleasure" or "enjoyed" watching the videos? What do you mean by "mini emotional meltdown"? Nah, only you, if at all, would understand anything from that sentence.
your personal choice of selective understanding says more than your pretend question. you object to discussing the subject yet you posted the thread. you take a position of moral outrage by your assumed implication to position yourself as aggrieved by your forced interpretation to direct the content and nature of the debate to attempt to shut out what you do not wish to discuss. thats ok thats your freedom to do so. just do not expect me to play your games in responses to your pretend questions. your feeling on injury in this case is self imposed to try and attempt to control my reply. you think i dont understand that. but i do. you raised a fairly complex involved subject about human behavior. it seems your not ready to engage in the real discussion. thats ok too. it means your looking for some form of self assurance. thats ok too thats normal. Ego ! thats your issue by feeling the need to be superior to your audience. not my issue and not me dissing you. thats you asserting your own inferiority of the subject by asserting your ego instead of asking a question to learn. this
And... You can't begin to discuss anyway because you haven't seen the video in the first place. I briefly tried to look up some laws in other countries but couldn't find one pertaining to the OP outside a Western style culture.
There was a plethora of videos. The one I was referring to was about 40 min in. If you request, I can link it and we can scrutinize all of them.
