What is the attraction for so many in the reposted "quizzes" that say something like "Only 1% of you will be able to answer these questions" and the the questions that follow are stupidly simple. I understand that the reason for the sites that post this nonsense is to get a lot of traffic redirected to their site. I don't understand the attraction for those that respond. Some seem to do it daily. "Name a city without a A in it...I'll bet you can't", etc. Sometimes the post implies that only a genius can answer their questions and of course everyone can answer them. Do any of you respond to those types of posts? If so, why? I like Facebook (many people don't) but I don't use it to play games or to respond to nonsense like this. Lately more of these kinds of posts are appearing on my "Newsfeed" because apparently I have a few friends that respond to these on a daily basis.

So how do they know you got it if sending a reply is the same as not sending a reply? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

I was dopey enough to try a science one recently, but realised it was as you say, stupidly easy and clearly some form of clickbait, though for the life of me I can't see to what end. I resist the temptation now, though.
I took an online IQ test that placed me somewhere between Madonna and Bill Gates. That's good enough for me. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I think it's just as simple as driving up traffic to their sites which they are then monetizing much like YouTube videos are doing but at least they are usually getting their traffic "honestly" by providing a video that people are finding entertaining/informative.
Good pont... an even if i didnt have a high iq... at least id prolly still have my sanity Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Probably not a good idea to click on any fb link without at least looking at who actually posted the original link because they are usually just trolling for marketing hits. Even if you receive a link as a fb message from a friend, be aware of the consequences. Also, don't click on any link if you receive an unsolicited spam email/text as the best you can expect is more spam while the worst is getting malware installed on your pc/phone etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clickbait https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spamming https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malware
