is life really generating order or is it just our false narrative perspective?

although your responses are provoking me (in a good way), and although i stay at home all day, i need to prepare for a life changing exam in the upcoming weeks, and i need to focus (although it is a bit more difficult at my age vs teenage years.

I will check my feed a little bit less often.

dont think i am rude if it takes time to respond.
hope they wont ask me about thermodynamics!lol

still an amazing scientist, an expert, but not an authority.
As per the number of publications, i disagree its necessarily a self-evident metric of quality. I know people with 200 publications, but if you remove those publications from the literature, humanity is not going to miss much. Its the quality, not the quantity.

Yes, and unless you actually listen and process his narratives, you cannot judge one way or another.
Check out Robert Hazen on YouTube. Lots of high quality science. Good stuff!!!

If you want to get serious, goto; "Carnegie Institute for Science" and check out Hazen's qualifications and acknowledgements bestowed by the scientific community.

    No.

But you may under a misapprehension that the entropy of the biosphere is constantly decreasing. We may have a steady state, or, given the rate at which species are being wiped out, we may find the entropy of the biosphere is increasing at the moment.

This kind of response really irks me. Yes, I know a lot of people too. But if you were to remove Hazen's contributions to science, humanity would be set back many years in its knowledge of chemistry.
Unless you actually peruse his work, you have no Authority to dismiss his work at any level.

True, but think it more pissed off the numnuts who use crystals to pretend to heal and other stuff

    That's his patch

They occur naturally, a divine nono. Nowhere does it say "and god created crystals", because he didn't.....

i didnt dismiss his work at any level. sorry if you understood that.
I only dismissed the type of arguments you used. I am sure Hazen himself would say that he is an expert but not an authority

but why are you so sensitive?
did he create a religious heresy you follow?

This may explain the natural limits of crystal growth.

When sugar is supersaturated in water, nucleation will occur, allowing sugar molecules to stick together and form large crystal structures.
Diamond is made of carbon in a crystal form.

I'd say that is one large crystal system.....

no excuses!! there is always a reason to be lazy and not form order. Universe takes its time, but finds a way always. It has so much time, no rush
    lol!! just kidding of course

No, I am just a little perturbed by all those instant rejections of lifetimes of study and work by dedicated scientists, by people who have no expertise in any of the subjects.

I admit my ignorance, but I listen and read and I am able to make logical judgments. In all the prolific writings, I did not hear or see Hazen make one definitive statement which is contrary to any current knowledge of chemistry and mineralogy.

Hazen is building on the authoritative model of chemistry as known to exist on earth and in the universe. The "universal constants employed in chemical activities."

His lectures are "deductive", not inductive.

He didn't have a crystal ball to see how popular they would become
