Earthquakes are a movement of the earth's crust. But why, how and why do the earth's crust move? Modern science and technology, despite their persistent efforts, have an unsatisfactory outcome. Almost all viewpoints have weaknesses that can't be refuted and puzzles that can't be solved. From this point of view, the traditional understanding The traditional idea is that the crustal movement is the continuation of the earth's gravity center of gravity by the crustal material since the formation of the earth's crust. It is incompatible with the so-called plate drift, mantle heat convection, Earth rotation rate changes, ocean floor expansion and other explanations. Dark clouds, people should break through existing theories and look for new mechanisms. We find that in looking for the real causes of earthquakes, the door to higher-level physics opens.
First of all, we should be convinced that there is an insurmountable contradiction in explaining earthquakes by plate motion. The earth has been in existence for more than 4 billion years, and even horizontal motions have been consumed by strong friction. The earth's surface is a hard crust, the thinnest part of the earth's crust (such as the deepest ocean bottom) is several kilometers, and the plateau is 70 kilometers thick. With an average thickness of 33 kilometers and a hard crust enclosing the earth, there is no force source for local horizontal movement. Is it almost impossible for the two plates to suddenly move in relative motion? According to the division of plates, there is a long dividing line between the plates, and the earthquake area is not linear, and most of them are circular or radiative. If it were a plate impact, a large earthquake could extend thousands of kilometers along the plate boundary, when in fact it wasn't. We do not rule out the existence of weak conjunctions in the crust, but there is no overall lateral relative motion. In fact, it is precisely because of this horizontal relative movement that weak places can remain weak for a long time-relatively stable.

Moreover, if an earthquake is the result of a plate impact, the process must be slow, even lasting several years, but it lasts for only a few minutes, not more than a few days. In terms of frequency, there are more than 5000 earthquakes every year in the world, and the earth is divided into seven major plates, and there are more than 700 large and small earthquakes every year on each block, and not all of them are distributed on the so-called seismic belt, even where we think there are no earthquakes. The earth's crust is vibrating, too, but it is not easy to detect. Are there so many plates bumping into these large and small earthquakes? Where's the power? Why not show a decreasing trend? If there is a bulge in one part of the boundary, it should occur at the same time on the other side of the boundary, and this is not the case at all.According to Yang Jingliang's theory of celestial body growth, the earthquake problem is almost solved. The theory holds that, with the expansion of space and time, new materials are continuously formed in the sky, and radioactivity continues to occur. The heat released rises through heat conduction and accumulates in the earth's crust, while the newly generated lighter material rises through the mantle. When the pressure increases to a certain extent, the relatively weak part of the earth's crust will be raised or cracked, and the heat energy will be converted into the kinetic energy of the earth's surface, forming a violent or non-violent earthquake phenomenon, which will occur all over the world. Whether on the sea floor or on a continent. It is in this time and again, big and small, that the earth grows larger and larger. The acceleration of gravity in the past has been smaller than it is today, and the mountains have deepened as the earth has grown, just as the larger the trees, the deeper the grooves are. As the earth becomes larger, the magnitude of earthquakes should be larger and larger. The more frequent earthquakes occur, the lower the magnitude of earthquakes is, because the energy release is carried out at any time and there is no excessive accumulation. We should also see that earthquakes are a process of cooling the earth's material, so the temperature of the earth itself should rise gradually, because as the crust grows thicker, it becomes more and more difficult to crack, and the energy needed to accumulate more and more, on the other hand, The limit of disintegration is also the limit of temperature rise

Isn't it easier to expend your energy by learning from all the research that others have done rather than by rejecting it all?

Before the earthquake, there will be different degrees of uplift in the local crust, which can be measured and predicted before the earthquake. It is also possible to judge the magnitude of the earthquake, the location of the earthquake, the prediction of the event, and not the movement of the plate, based on changes in pressure and temperature in the depths. The plate does not move at all, how can we measure the movement of the plate? Even if there is some movement of the plate, it is the result of the collapse of the earth's crust, just as the contents move sideways when an egg breaks. In a word, according to the mechanism of earthquake formation, the survey plan should be formulated. The earthquake formation mechanism based on plate impact is false, of course, the prediction ability can not be improved for a long time. Some experts are constantly preaching the theory, and how many years will it be to let this crooked theory harm it, and how many years will it be to fool people?
Note that Mr. Yang's reference to Earth expansion not only refers to the increase in volume, but also increases in mass, which is different from the previous inflation theory. In fact, if only the volume of the earth is considered to be larger and the mass is constant, then the expansion cannot be sustained and the source of expansion is impossible. Sometimes it is impossible to expand and contract because friction consumes energy, and the earth is not a spring oscillator. Why should it bounce back? There is no such circular mechanism as the contraction will not expand again, and the expansion will not shrink again. The theory of the continuous generation of matter in the sky is more than enough to explain earthquakes. Some people admit the continuous expansion of space-time and the continuous generation of matter, which is the separation of space-time and matter, which contradicts the theory of relativistic space-time. Isn't space expanding and growing? It should be understood that the retrogression of stars is not the movement of stars in the original space, but the physical increase of space. Since matter and space-time are unified, it should be recognized that the universe creates space as well as matter, and that the increase in space provides a place for the increase of matter. It should be the same difficulty for the universe to create space and create matter. Although matter and space increase at the same time, the generation of new matter is not carried out in all spaces, but in the body of the sky. This is because the production of matter is the result of work done by space-time expansion, as calculated by Mr. Yang Ji-liang. At present, space-time expansions work on the earth by about 10 to the 29th power joules each year. Most of the energy exists in the form of matter, and a very small part exists in the form of heat, which is equivalent to the annual increase in the mass of the earth by 1.2 trillion tons and the increase in the radius of the earth by 0.5 millimeters. Therefore, seismic phenomenon is not only a problem that can be solved by geophysics, it is actually a problem of astrophysics, but also a problem of cosmology, that is, an interdisciplinary problem. It is too narrow to explain seismic phenomena by merely using geophysical knowledge. Geophysicists do have the time to master astrophysics and cosmology, complacent, and there will be no major discoveries.

    Nevertheless, you have me here.

    You aren't actually "doing" anything.

Perhaps if you read a little bit about plate tectonics you would not make such absurd claims about what the theory does and does not say.

Your expanding earth silliness is best summed up in the exquisite line by the alien Eros in Plan 9 From Outer Space:
"You see? You see? Your stupid minds! Stupid! Stupid!"

    Or maybe this line:
"What's the matter colonel Sanders? Chicken?"

    Or this:
    "I coulda been a contender"

You say that as if it was a good thing.

    Here's an experiment for you:
    1. Heat a pot of water to just below the boiling point.
    2. Pour a little bit of oil on the surface.
    3. Watch the "continents" drift.

    Scientifically that is incorrect.
Earth Quakes are the shock waves of movements or the shock waves of things that cause shock waves.

thus an explosion can cause an earth quake.
a landslide can cause an earth quake etc etc...

you probably should have started your thread as "Earth Quakes caused by plate tectonics" "Discusion"

    Different subject !

starting your sentence with "But" clearly defines you placing the crust movement as a theory to disprove the cause of your 1st sentence subject "earth quakes".

heyuhua: I'm afraid you have an egregiously uneducated understanding of plate tectonics and earthquakes.

Just one example: While continental plates move at a very slow rate, that movement is not the source of quakes. Plates do not have flat boundaries; they are ragged (for want of a better word). They bind and catch. Over time, pressure builds up at these points. Occasionally, it builds up enough that they slip past each other. These slips are abrupt, and they are the source of most earthquake activity.

A basic understanding of seismology is critical to your attempts to refute it, and that is beyond the scope of this thread.

Please don't wax whimsical about things of which you have no knowledge. That path has only tears and heartbreak for you.

I thought plate tectonics was caused by shrinking of the earth. Is the earth not cooling?

Seriously, is it true that the center of the earth spins faster than the outer mantle?
If so, would this also be causal to movement of the mantle plates and cause "large scale processes affecting the structure of the earth's crust" (tectonics) and resulting earthquakes?

The inner core rotates 0.3-0.5 degrees per year than the crust does. The outer core ( which is liquid, rotates in the opposite direction. While this has an effect on the Earth's magnetic field, it doesn't translate into motion transferred through the mantle to the crust. The drift of the crust with respect to the mantle does have geological consequences. Convection currents in the mantle produces up-wellings or hot spots. One of these is under the Hawaiian islands. These hot spots produce volcanic mountain chains as the crust drifts with respect to the hot spot The island chain was produced as parts of this mountain chain were pushed above sea level. The islands become younger as you go from Kauai to The Big island (which is still actively growing as evidenced by the most recent eruption.)

This pseudoscientific earthquake theory of yours follows from Yang's new theory of continuous creation of matter everywhere in the universe, does it? Are we to understand that Yang's theory is equally pseudoscientific, then?
