"A worker at a nursing home in Chicago got the last laugh on his friends and family who disbelieved his claims of seeing a ghost after he produced security footage which seems to show the spirit in question. During an overnight shift at the facility, security guard Jay Brown reportedly witnessed some kind of apparition lingering in the building. However, upon telling his loved ones the next day, he was dismayed when they dismissed his account of the eerie encounter.

Undeterred, Brown turned to the security system at the facility to see if perhaps it had captured something strange during the alleged sighting. Fortunately, much to his delight and amazement, the cameras appear to have, indeed, filmed something truly odd at the moment that he had seen something strange. how does the security camera manage to follow the ghost ?
that seems a little odd.
it looks like a fixed camera on the front reception.

note it doesnt move like a living organism.
it moves like a robot
it has clear frequency of revolution to its forward motion.
it has a long egg shaped cycle on the first move then a short circular motion on the shorter second movement of the single move
each move made up of 2 movements.

which .. is far more likely to be some type of electrical frequency atmospheric disturbance associated with high frequency induction via microwaves & transformers and things like underground gas pipes gas leaks or power cables.
the cyclical creep is very much like static electrical creep arcing acros a field.
maybe there was a gas leak from one of the medical machines which accumilates at night in cold air, then discharges acros the floor along a line of current like water pipe which has a short on it.

i would demand a gas leak test of the site, methane collection in the foundations check and a check on all medical and gas bottles.

dont need exploding old folks in the midnight hours.

Obviously the footage on the monitor was filmed with a cellphone or camera by the guard so he could show it to people.

Yeah..that's really too elaborate an explanation. Think I'll stick with old Occam and call it a ghost.

All I'm seeing is a security guard talking to somebody off-camera.

 

I agree. I don't see anything. The red circle is showing a mat. Is it a ghost mat? How can you tell it is a ghost mat, it looks like a regular everyday entrance mat. [shrug]

Doesn't look like it to me. He's looking at somebody to (our) right of the camera.

 

He's looking at where he saw the ghost. Then in the last remark he makes he looks directly into the camera.

 

He's gesturing off-camera, just as if he was talking to a person there.
