Forum categories are sometimes not self explanatory and a brief reading of several threads has me wondering if this is the section to conduct such a discussion.
    Any advice appreciated.

Sounds like a reasonable place to start.
    So what's your take?

    i am guessing a little.

is the Discussion of mass psychology/sociological psychology &/or religion as a psychology metaphor of human anthrapological psychology, an opposing force to counter scientific debate like the development of creationism as a form of self fulfilling anti-christ ideological self fulfilling narative of social trend ?

    am i close ?
... and i think yes, this is the correct forum if you wish to keep it scientific.
but that is just my opinion

I’m unsure what you mean by 'a psychology metaphor of human anthrapological psychology, an opposing force to counter scientific debate like the development of creationism as a form of self fulfilling anti-christ ideological self fulfilling narative of social trend’ particularly ‘psychology metaphor’.
My perspective is I confess influenced by biblical studies (no, I’m not a believer) and early childhood experience studying the pipe organ in a Catholic cathedral thus witnessing the reality festering behind the scenes. Granted such experience may indeed at times prevent me being objective.
I also have a visceral reaction against aspects of so called political correctness which wants to assert we should never question or criticise the contents of so called holy books. Then we have the overlying question of The Enlightenment and how of late it’s occurrence appears to many to never have taken place.
And that’s just the surface. But yes, if your mention of ‘psychology metaphor’ signifies group psychology at work within religious &/or political groups we may be on the same wave length. Terms such as ‘mass hypnosis’, ‘mass delusion’ and ‘tribal perspective’ come to mind.
(Taken out of context ?) 2nd Thessalonians Ch2:V11 comes to mind.
I’m also mindfull that many want to deny psychology is indeed a science but that’s another huge debate I want to avoid for now,

I actually spit my tea on the keyboard when I read that. Thankfully, no sugar, so a quick shot of compressed air allowed me to post back.

I missed the joke, if there was one. Maybe I’d need to know something of RainbowSingularities posting history to get it? On the other hand if that was tea with milk in it time will congeal the lactose content and your keys could easily get stuck, compressed air or not.
Anyhow can we agree before we start that ‘scientific’ has a specific meaning? On the other hand I’m happy to hear of other definitions.

    Welcome to the forum.

I believe there is current scientific research into the phenomenon of neurocognitive mass-response to the indoctrination of religious concepts, based on the promise of a spiritual reward system (heaven, everlasting after-life, 40 virgins, etc)

The seat of mass-response producing the same emotional mental chemistry can be found in the "mirror neuron system" of the brain.

It's you, I think, so of course you'd miss it. I don't think anyone missed the fact that you're a troll, though.

Unless you know this poster, how can you come to that conclusion after just a few posts?

I don't know this man but in my book it is always good manners to welcome a newcomer. One never knows what he or she may contribute to the conversation.

I believe in giving people a chance to reveal their thoughts first, before I judge their intentions.

I know, but I've been online since before the web. Remember BBS? I think my sense of smell is pretty well developed.

Dude has three posts, already posting with giant font, in bold, and kinda maybe just a little bit illiterate.

    Don't you smell troll?

I'll reserve judgement for now. As English is my second language, the linguistic parts are not always that obvious to me. I seek content and if it agrees or disagrees with my perspective.

What is your first language? I have some ability in Spanish, a little bit of German, and I can cuss in Australian. If you've read C.S Lewis' Perelandra trilogy, you'll understand that Viritrilbia passes closer to me than some others..

    I couldn't help it.

Excellently eccentric language. Is Afrikaans close enough to Dutch for you to understand easily?

    Where did you immigrate to?
