The approach that I notice with the believer often is to offer this God loves you and when rejected mutter something along the lines of risking and eternity in hell sent there presumably by a God that loves you. Hech in our courts the most the worst crime brings is a couple of life time sentences but served at the same time..and that comes from a judge who is imparial.
Believers full of love are prepared to bully and threaten from the very young to the very old in an effort to spread their immoral "word".
And when asked for proof you see them say "in the bible it says..."
They just do not get that the bible does not gain authority because it makes the God claim no more than they do...they are so brain washed they dont understand their faith has no foundation other than them abandoning reason to believe made up stories from the bronze age when those authors did not know where the Sun went at night...why would you consider such folk be authority on anything...they dont know where the Sun went but can explain everything better than we can today...that belief is a failure of rational thinking...yet their cruel brain washing prevents recognition of such a simple fact...and it is a fact.
Oh but it was relevation they say ...sure but one wonders why they dont see science as relevation of the truth because science does reveal the truth ...and certainly cleared up the mystery as to where the Sun goes at night.
Believers have no where to hide except in delussion proped up denial of objective reality.

Yes Bowser they will...so search for the truth mate and look into the history of religion...search for some tangible evidence that supports the scriptures, search for explainations for the absence of any manifestation of a God other than in a brain washed mind.
Honestly give it a go and just think it thru...dont worry about us worry about yourself...if there is a God why would he only reveal himself to a limited number of bronze age folk in a very remote part of the world..if the bible is relevation why is it so wrong on facts and morally bankrupt..and think upon that without making excuses...like the times were different slavery was not really slavery..the new testament is what matters so lets ignore the old testament and its demands to kill folk for working on rest day, killing a non virgin etc etc because to ignore it throws out the ten commandments and the JC prophecy. ..or ask why could the book of relevations not be specific if the fate of humans depend on it...
The bible if full of mistakes and you revere it ...books on science contain no such mistakes and all asertions are backed by evidence...why choose superstition and bronze age nonsense...really why choose that and ignore the relevations of science.
Think it thru mate and be honest with yourself.

If all you have is a hammer, everything is going to look like a nail. I ain't lookin' for Jesus. The time to believe things is when you have evidence for it.

There are people out there other than myself who can help point you in the right direction. The biggest revelation is the realization that there is no separation. It's humbling, but not in a small way.

I don't believe I can contribute anything more here.

Yes scientists, historians, biologists and various folk armed with evidence and reliable observation who can provide answers to questions like where does the Sun go at night☺.

You seem to be running away.
Sorry if I am responsible for pointing out things that may cause you to feel uncomfortable but you do bring it on yourself.
If you want to make claims it is reasonable for others to expect you offer at least more support than you have a fuzzy feeling that you interpret as the holy spirit.
Just like you think you are helping folk so do I.

I would love to see you face the facts rather than run and hide when presented with reasonable observation such as all this wonderful knowledge you feel we are ignorant of comes from the bronze age.
Folk back then were superstitious and thought all sorts of nonsence which any reasonable thinker would take to mean their ideas were not worth zip.

There's no separation between self and other. We just disagree on what the other is.

Close inspection of who you are might answer the question.

That's interesting Bowser. So, you can imagine a universe without a god.

I see a Natural Universe without a god, like the one you imagined.

Are you a separate entity from that natural universe you imagine?

I'm part of that universe if that's what you mean? I can think of the universe still existing if life wasn't around. Define your meaning of separate entity here.

Does a star have the option to last forever, never going explosive? Do you have the option to live forever?

Life is forever, just not in the sense most people interpret it. And that is good enough for me.

    I think this way.
I believe my existence for me is an eternity on the basis that I can not identify a start or finish to my life...I dont recall my arrival and am convinced I wont know when I have left...enternity is not being able to a start or finish..that what I observe..eternity...you or others will know I am dead but my time for me was eternal.

I like to think that is realistic based on the facts I use to build my reality.

I like my reality I have set it up just the way I like it.

And Bowser I am really sorry for being aggresive and generally giving you a hard time.
Please forgive me so I can rationalise that all has ended well.

That's your dead universe meaning isn't it. Your saying without a religious belief we are dead.

You mean, do I have a belief that I have an option to live forever? No I don't have that belief.

In a non-religious way if that helps.

Your existence proves that the universe isn't dead. Everything that can be attributed to you belongs to the universe, or, as I would say...God.

You can turn it into a religion and give homage if you wish. I do in my own way.

It would seem we are not in control.
