    How does Google know...
I have never had a Google account.

Some months ago I looked-up an address on Google maps, I never bookmark Google maps. When I want Google maps I use Google search (I'm funny that way). Now, when I use Google search to ''find'' Google maps something funny happens when I use the presented link, It always opens on the same street page I looked-up months ago!
I can only think Google is keeping note of my IP address, would that be right? I thought I was using proxies to hide my IP.

First thing I did. And, they are also set to automatically clear when I close the browser.
That is, I copy the link and clear cookies, them paste address in address bar.

My guess: Google keeps the information in the cloud.

And if that doesn't work, toss your cookies.

Clear history as well as cookies. For another thing, many websites use a thing called geolookup that can pull your approximate location from your IP address.

Thanks for the trigger! I just spent fifteen days in hospital with a partially blocked bowel.

Didn't throw up, but rants are where you find them.
