Any body watching ? Earth Views are completely silent . No hiss , nothing , it is very silent . Relaxing . The challenge is to figure out where they are . What part of Earth they , ISS , is flying over . It can be hard because of cloud cover . Also there is the science , immunity research , among others .
How do you know this ? I watch this channel for a few hours , but because of cloud cover , I can never make out on this planet , where on this planet I am . How do you know ?
iss tracker. it shows you where the ISS is all the time. http://www.isstracker.com/ some times you can watch as an astronaut focusses a camera on some country and zooms in to show cloud formations or mountain ranges. sometimes they give a little commentary as they do it.
Really ? All I get is eminence cloud cover . Never clear visuals of any land mass , without cloud cover .
and if you think the ISS camera view is your's, the important one as being stationary, the earth is rotating the wrong way beneath you, east to west. California first, then New York. The sun is not fooled though, I think, it still rises in the east, above it all. Many think the world is going the wrong way.
The atmosphere acts a bit like a mirror. depending on the direction of the sun & the angle of view & type & amount of light, cloud cover etc etc.... they can zoom in with a camera lens and see land mass. at the current angle it is like looking accross the surface of a puddle seing the light reflect off it.
River, this site may help you later if you see a tiny piece of land. http://iss.astroviewer.net/ This site will let you know when the ISS is next over your way... https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/
you can email &/or tweet to an astronaut or cosmonaut on the ISS and ask them when they next might be doing some personal time photography of earth. you can then log in and watch them do it. its really cool having them narate what they are doing and what they are looking at as they zoom in and take pictures.
