I've experienced it mostly while dong something artistic or constructive. It is a form of bliss, to be totally absorbed in what you are doing. I'm curious where others might find their "flow."

I find my flow in the harmonics of music. As an ex-jazz musician, 7 years with the same group, I had many occasions where everyone was in perfect synchronization of the melodic parts and rhythms; I'd get a transcendent feeling of becoming part of the music itself.

Could it be that flow could be said to be mere pleasure?

Enjoying pleasure from concentrating and achieving bliss...ok lets just say flow.

It's detachment and focus in one package. I'm most creative while in the flow.

I like to think that I am always in the flow maybe it is an overall being at peace thing...but I avoid a lot of situations that I dont like ...weddings funerals family get togethers.

In sports it's called "being in the zone".

Possibly, if we can live in the moment rather than the past or the future? It does seem we're at our best when we're in the flow.

That makes me think of the practice of mindfulness. I believe practicing mindfulness techniques or relaxation techniques when we are stressed can help get up back into our flow.
