Well, we appreciate the scientific method--it has brought good and bad to humanity. I appreciate the medicine that cured my pneumonia, but I sometimes worry about the thousands of nuclear weapons that still exist. Like everything else, it cuts both ways. And we come back to the conflict of good and bad, which has played out before and continues today, regardless of our progress.

    It brought Science

Good / bad are human constructs

Science is totally neutral and brings nothing to the table except knowledge

    Nooooo

Good / bad do not exist (I did note you put them in quote's)

What ever arises does not matter - it also will be neutral - until humans label it with a arbitrary value

Losing your arm in a terrible accident would be a "neutral" experience for you?

As a friend explained...things just are..they are neither good nor bad until you qualify them.

I found that the most useful bit of observation ...firstly I stopped calling things and people good or bad...and secondly armed with that observation I stopped even bothering to judge. ... so much better.

And then you can extend it...So you see a photo showing some poor kid with their legs blown off...a good thing because that photo may motivate many kind folk to work towards preventing war and stuff.

I lost most of the use of my legs, its not a bad thing, stuff happens, it has helped me focus on what is important to me for example...I dont feel sorry for myself at all and still pity those who say have no legs...I dont need a wheelchair but hey if I do I get to sit down all day...

This is really stupid for an intellectual forum. Good and bad of course exist in context because it is about pattern/function coherency. What throws that off to a debilitating extent is of course bad. You getting cancer is bad for you, for instance.

These are the same idiots who avoid what is 'bad' all throughout the day to defend their pattern coherency and optimum functioning such as avoiding oncoming traffic instead of ramming their vehicle into it to say shit happens as if there is no value criteria.

Or the same hypocrites who on other topics continually assert and use terms of positivity/negativity.

I dare you to assert that shit when it comes to topics regarding real life issues.
If what these people claim to believe is true for them, then the people who have been banned are no worse than your views for racism, sexism, homophobia, pedophilia, rape, sexual harassment, terrorism, abuse etc.

In other words, stay the fuk consistent because your true colors are showing, you dimwads.

This argument ive read countless times on this forum is as dumb as saying nuclear weapons sitting in a silo are neither good or bad. So is a stick of dynamite but if i lit one up your ass to blow you to pieces beyond repair, that would be 'bad' for you. That is not up for debate.

Some of the points are so silly as if people need to remind themselves nothing really can be decided as 'bad' (inert) except when motive and action is decided when it comes to consciousness.

If you took dynamite to blow up a side of a mountain to make a tunnel, that could be good. If i used that dynamite to blow up your house, you would be a fool to not evaluate the 'bad' or destructive intentions and/or outcome for you, whether i jump up and down in glee at the display of blowing shit up.

You are right. If you agreed to me lighting a stick of dynamite up your ass then its not bad. Only you can determine that as i will be unaffected. Perhaps you desire to punish yourself or go out in a painful fashion. People have their reasons.

Just is its neither good nor bad.
But certainly it would be a good example of shit happening...all at once and everywhere.
What an interesting example what motivated you to propose such a just is event.

Perhaps we should erase those words from the language; however, we might lose our frame of reference if we did.

That's just rambling and putting it into a limited personal narrow situation

Good / bad are concepts. Spoiler alert - cracked record mode coming on - concepts do not exist - they have no physicality - you can cram a gazillion concepts into a brain and still have room for another gazillion

Keeping that concept at the forefront of your brain you might consider that any concept is flexible and so malleable it can be anything to anybody

    What words specifically?
Good and bad? Or everything I said?
And I dont get the image?
Is that presented to make me say "thats bad"?...or " its good"? Or to see if I simply have no responce...?
