intelligence would denote ability to create as one aspect. but we didn't create ourselves. besides, the fact there is relative intelligence between individuals, we aren't even 'me' entirely but only a part of what makes us who we are.

really, if you look at it, it's the cells and bacteria that make us who we are for the most part and they are doing all the engineering work as well as upkeep and maintenance.

if we had to consciously tell our stomachs the procedural steps to digest food, most would starve because they would have no idea how it's done or it would take too long. or if you scraped your knee or burned a finger, could you consciously tell your cells what exactly to do? no, most processes are done unconsciously so we can hardly (at least most people) take credit for all the work these cells and bacteria do as well as their wisdom. literally, people have little to no idea how it's really done.

our consciousness is only a fraction of what we are that is 'us' or what we call 'me or i'. yes, most of us are walking buffoons who are dependent on our trillions of cells and bacteria to keep us alive because if it depended on our 'conscious awareness' which is how we measure intelligence, we would royally mess it up because of our ignorance or just be dumbfounded with no idea whatsoever as to the complexity of how our physical selves work as well as how our brains work.

we are the ones who are most in the dark or just as much.

What about the converse? Aren't "our trillions of cells and bacteria" dependent on us "walking buffoons" to keep alive? Do those cells and bacteria have any "idea whatsoever as to the complexity of how their our physical selves work"? Hmmm...

All of the processes have been automated and outsourced to the nervous system in conjunction with the hormone system along with some other systems dragged in

The bacterium do not have wisdom. Their actions within the processes they are involved in are purely reactive. No thinking or making decisions involved. Impossible to do without a nervous system

Tee hee. You spout outlandish fantasies about human history and then reference TV sci-fiction.
You're torpedoing yourself with no need for help from me.

If that's a criteria for being silent why do you post?

    From my post#39

We have no idea when intelligence arose in the Universe .

But taken from the Babylon 5 SERIES , there are the First Ones .

There is a truth in both

Silence by me is waiting for you people to actually understand both statements

This OP has no idea what is " recent " in the intelligence of the Universe . On what criteria do we compare ourselves to the Universe ?

Well, we can rule out some criteria.
Let's rule out science-fiction TV as a source for understanding the universe.
    Actually, belay that.
The rest of us already know the difference between fiction and reality; if you keep confusing the two, we can't help you.

    What part?

I don't think there is a single statement in the OP that is demonstrably fictional. It's more of a thought experiment.

(Although, frankly I'm not sure what the thesis in the OP actually is.)

    True

But a lousy thought experiment , pointless really .

You mean the OP's thesis is junk?
It doesn't really have a lot of content. Then again, it doesn't really get up a good head of woo either.

The inability to get a clear message across would indicate poor thinking, and that usually leads to "junk".
