Don't be fooled by the disingenous reactions of skeptics to ufo evidence. It's not the normal human response to the evidence. It is a response laden with an anti-ufo agenda not concerned with finding out the truth but only with being right that there's no such thing as ufos. See, a normal one of billions human would respond to these compelling cases normally and say "Wow...that's amazing. UFOs may actually be real!" and then resume their life accordingly. The skeptic, who is not normal but motivated by a self-blinding debunking agenda, can't even admit amazement at the compelling accounts. No, because that might upset the applecart of their worldview where everything is mundane and natural and explainable by mundane causes. Hence their rather hostile desperation to dismiss and nitpick and mock and ad hom and issue absolute decrees like "There's no evidence ufos exist." Because really they DO know the evidence is compelling and undeniable. And that gnawing threat to their stoic worldview is what motivates them all the more never to admit it, even when it makes them look like uptight overdefensive denialists. Sad really that such people can't relax and just be honest with themselves...

Why would people have an "anti-UFO agenda"? Any scientist - in fact, any rational person - would absoltely LOVE for aliens to be real.

It would open up whole new areas of study to build careers on! Astronautics, xenobiology, biochemisty, metallurgy, and that's just the hard sciences. Then there's Philosophy, cultural studies... so not only the evolutionary history of the alien's species, but their cultural history will be studied for centuries to come. In fact, all of their recorded history will make the careers of innumerable Human historians and anthropologists for the rest of time.

So don't you dare lie about nay-sayers who stick their fingers in their ears going "la-la-la I can't hear you" when it comes to flying saucers. That's what YOU'RE doing!

Uh no..You don't get to claim you're open-minded to the existence of ufos while bending over backwards to deny and refute and mock every single compelling account and photo of ufos I post in this forum. That's insane. An open-minded person accepts that they don't know either way before they review the evidence. A skeptic otoh believes there are no such things as ufos and does everything in his power to prove that belief. Why are they so bent on this? It's their faithheld worldview--of a world entirely explainable by science and materialism. And as with all faiths, they will defend it tooth and nail, even attacking those who challenge it. See post #522.

So what does that make you?

You're not "open minded". You're a flying saucer fundamentalist.

After reviewing the evidence for over 17 years I'm totally convinced ufos are real. But that's not faith. It is a conclusion based on the evidence. Just like science, remember?

Ah, like creationists reaching the same conclusion based on the evidence in Genesis.

No...that's faith in the Bible. My conclusions are based on eyewitness testimonies and photos and trace evidence.

Think you have that arse about
Skeptics really really really do believe in UFOs with particular emphasis on the Unidentified

"does everything in his power to prove that belief"

So asking believers to make their case by providing evidence is " doing everything in his power" to "prove that belief"
I would say that asking for proof and evidence would be considered as cheering believers on
"Come on you can do it, prove your claims about what UFOs really really really are. You know you can you know you can"
    Oops no they can't

    Yes I remember Science.
So just like Science, what does your analysis of UFO evidence predict in its field of expertise?
So just like Science what experiments have been performed showing such expertise?

No..no book is an authority. It's the accounts themselves, particularly after they have been vetted over the years by investigators and researchers and journalists.

Clearly there are plenty of ufos but there seems no evidence to establish what they are, and if established they are not ufos, as Micheal pointed out one must remember what the U stands for.
So what we seek is evidence of alien craft so I ask what evidence do we have? The list cant be that long I expect.

Have these anecdotes and blurry footage ever convinced anyone of flying saucers who didn't already want to believe?

I can predict the traits of a ufo based on previous accounts---it is silent, it can merge into one form, it can hover, speed off, and stop on a dime, defying inertia, it can appear and disappear (cloaking?), it can leave marks in the grass and the soil, it can shoot light beams out of itself, it can radiate huge amounts of often injurious energy, and often is seen with passengers thru the side windows. Experiments? Haven't done any yet. Oh friggn well.
