My experience has been a mixed bag: some people seem happy, while others not so happy. What's your feel?

    Me?
I am so happy I often feel guilty that I have it so good.
I sometimes feel a little sad that others may not be as happy as I am.

"Happy" isn't a sustainable state nor should that be the goal. I'd say it's more realistic to shoot for a feeling of fulfillment with periods of happiness scattered about. You should try to reduce feelings of unhappiness or depression.

As they say, we make our own happiness. I'd say most fairly well adjusted people are fairly upbeat most of the time.

I thank a feelin of fulfillment/happyness is dependent on the circumstances an individual happens to have... eg... bein depressed coud make it imposible to "make our own happiness".!!!

    I had depression once.
Its chemical.. Only little electrolyte in your battery.. Topped it up all good after six weeks.
But when it hit..wow...a fear of going outside ...detachment such that I think I could have cut off my hand with a butter knife as if I wasn't there...
If I am the least bit down I do deep breathing and a bit of exercise...works well.

I had the a couple of months ago.
Came true, luckily, with no drama but some folk have a real bad time...
Seeing I got them does that mean I won't get them again?
I went to the doctor really after I had improved but he just said I had them...didn't give me a shot.

    Feeling down is unhappy.
Depression is a condition that is not simply a case of feeling glum...read about it and learn the signs to look for in yourself or family or friends.
Treatable with drugs which, for me took six weeks... Woke up one day all better happy as.
