My experience has been a mixed bag: some people seem happy, while others not so happy. What's your feel?
Me? I am so happy I often feel guilty that I have it so good. I sometimes feel a little sad that others may not be as happy as I am. Alex
"Happy" isn't a sustainable state nor should that be the goal. I'd say it's more realistic to shoot for a feeling of fulfillment with periods of happiness scattered about. You should try to reduce feelings of unhappiness or depression. As they say, we make our own happiness. I'd say most fairly well adjusted people are fairly upbeat most of the time.
I thank a feelin of fulfillment/happyness is dependent on the circumstances an individual happens to have... eg... bein depressed coud make it imposible to "make our own happiness".!!!
I had depression once. Its chemical.. Only little electrolyte in your battery.. Topped it up all good after six weeks. But when it hit..wow...a fear of going outside ...detachment such that I think I could have cut off my hand with a butter knife as if I wasn't there... If I am the least bit down I do deep breathing and a bit of exercise...works well. Alex
Ive never experenced it but ive herd thats its more likely the older you get... kinda like shingles :-(
I had the a couple of months ago. Came true, luckily, with no drama but some folk have a real bad time... Seeing I got them does that mean I won't get them again? I went to the doctor really after I had improved but he just said I had them...didn't give me a shot. Alex
Feeling down is unhappy. Depression is a condition that is not simply a case of feeling glum...read about it and learn the signs to look for in yourself or family or friends. Treatable with drugs which, for me took six weeks... Woke up one day all better happy as. Alex
My wife had shingles all up her left arm... didnt miss any work but it wasnt pleasant an took about a year for that arm to be 100%.!!! Ive had the shingles vaccine but now thers a new one which is much more effective and i plan on gettin it when i visit my nurse practicioner in a couple of mounths.!!!
Prolly not... hell ive even cried twice... once at my dads funeral an when my dog had to be put down :-(
Really, who hasn't had a dark cloud hanging over their head, but possibly my experience was different than yours. Mine always pass with time.
O i was oK with dad dyin... but when i saw a little niece that realy loved him cryin so hard it tore me up... but shes all growed up now wit a precious happy little girl of her own.!!!
