Were you thinking about the past or the future? Or were you living in the moment?

    Indeed.

    It is as simple as
    how to be filthy rich
    just have lots of money.

how to be a famous rock star
just write a bunch of mega-hit songs.

    how to be popular
just be surrounded by people who are really attracted to you.

    how to be smart
    just know everything.

No. These things are trivially true, because they are completely oblivious to the actual hard part.

They are the same as saying

It's easy to get to Alpha Centauri. "All you need is" ... a spaceship that can travel at relativistic speeds.
It's easy to solve worldwide hunger. "All you need is" ... enough food production for 7 billion people and the means to distribute it in a timely way.

The "all you need is" is the sticky bit that you're glossing over.

Through meditation or full body awareness and control:
Could you produce Endocannabinoids, Dopamine and Serotonin at will?

    If you were always happy:
What would you compare it to?

Generally speaking I am always gay...that is "gay" as it was defined when I was a tin lid, that is, "light-hearted and carefree."
I have one cup of coffee a day, probably three cups of tea, around three or for cans of VB each week, and a monthly kava [yaqona] session with some Fijian friends once a month and that's about it. The consumption of alcohol and kava were much larger when I wore a younger man's clothes, but I can say truthfully and proudly, that I have never partaken in any other form of drug including tobacco and have never had a desire to...It has never really entered into my considerations.

For those curious, kava is a traditional customary drink in Fiji and other Pacific Islands, that has a soporific and relaxing effect on the body. Its best described in the following link, with two passages I have raised that in my opinion best describes it, based on my own experiences. My introduction to the drink is because my Mrs is Fijian.
    https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2016/07/what-causes-the-weird-effects-of-kava/

"Kava is a plant found widely throughout the Pacific islands. Its use varies, from island to island. In some places it is part of a solemn ceremony. In others it's consumed in the equivalent of bars. Wherever it is consumed, it is pounded, ground up, or chewed, and then soaked in water. People then drink the water by the bowlful over the course of an evening, and, given its effects, it's not surprising to see why. While kava's taste is described as both bitter and "dirt-like," it gives the drinker a sense of calm and relaxation, and sometimes a sense of euphoria. It also has a host of other effects, one of which is bitterly disputed".

"Kava, once gulped down, goes to work on the body via about fifteen different compounds, known as kavalactones. These different compounds are present in different amounts, depending on the exact strain of kava, but the ones that are responsible for kava's popularity are known as kavain and desmethoxyyangonin. Kavain induces a feeling of relaxation, like a sedative. Unlike a sedative, it doesn't do so by knocking out the brain. Instead it's a muscle relaxant, physically relaxing the body and letting the brain follow along. This leaves kava drinkers relaxed but alert. Desmethyoxyyangonin, meanwhile, increases dopamine in the brain, giving people a mild euphoric sensation. (Another kavalactone, yangonin, works the same brain channel as THC, and also contributes to the good feelings that people have while on kava.)"
