Add to the mix different experiences throughout life and a myriad of other factors

But decisions are subjective and do not come under the logic umbrella

Cannot handcuff subjective decisions to logic processing

The scientific methodology can and does redefine what we call "logic". BH's or more correctly Dark Stars when first hypothesised, was shelved because it seem to defy what was common sense. Cosmology accepted the BB, even though it gave the church something to hang their hat on...a beginning was easily seen as the work of God. They could have easily chose the Steady State, or Cyclic model, except those models fail to match observational data anywhere near as well as the BB. It follows the major lines of evidence to formulate theories on how the universe works. These theories can and do change over time, but also can be further set in concrete the more they make valid predictions: eg: Five incidents of gravitational radiation now.
The universe/space/time is not as yet totally understood, but we have still progressed enormously in the 20th/21st century.
With relation to this thread, all science is asking for is extra ordinary evidence to show that we have been visited by Aliens, one of the greatest, most profound questions since we climbed down out of the trees.

Yeah..you should know all about that. Facing the truth of ufos conflicts with your faith belief that they don't and can't exist. It's a matter of dogma for you paraded around in the name of your holy science. Fortunately we don't have to wait for mainstream science to catch up with the truth of this matter. The evidence for ufos far exceeds what anyone would require to be convinced of their existence. And every year more and more keep turning up. Meanwhile you go "la la la" with your fingers in your ears claiming no evidence when you never even check out the cases I post here. There's not much more to say, other than check out the evidence for yourself when you finally decide to get serious about this matter and want to know the truth. You remember truth don't you? That thing you actually have to confirm for yourself with firsthand research and inquiry?

    1987-Waterbury, Connecticut 1987- Randy Etting

"Randy Etting was taking a walk outside his home. A commercial airline pilot with over 30 years experience, he spent a lot of time looking at the sky. On the night he took the photograph, he saw a number of orange and red lights approaching from the west. He got his binoculars and called his neighbors to come outside. By this time, the object was a great deal closer and seemed to be over I-84, just east of Etting's home. The lights were shimmering like distortion from engine heat, but he could hear no sound. Etting stated: "As the UFO passed over I-84, cars in both the east and west bound lanes began pulling over and stopping. The UFO displayed a semi-circular pattern of very bright multicolored lights. Five motorists reported that, as the object became visible, a number of cars lost power and had to pull off the highway."----https://www.thoughtco.com/ufo-photographs-4123245

There was a rather good Asimov story about that, by called "The Gods Themselves". Strictly, that was the local "leaking" into our universe of different "laws" from another parallel universe, and the potentially catastrophic consequences of this. Do you know it?

Nor any drop to drink. Coleridge. Ancient Mariner.

It goes on: The very deep did rot. Oh Christ that this should be! And slimy things did crawl with legs upon the slimy sea.

Rather good, that bit. Another sci-fi story in that, perhaps.

Know the name and book. Can't recall reading it. If I did don't recall any details
That happens sometimes and if I start to read the book about ½ way through I remember the ending

    No doubt

I wish I could get a reply to the other part. But that might be a forlorn hope

    ...... climbed from 1,700 to 3,500 feet .......in a couple of seconds.......no g-forces.....

equates to about 988 klm per hour

Sounds like a sifi story there

    Followed by

Later on in March I was searching to find out more about the famous semi-circular pattern of lights that had been seen over the area of Newtown, Connecticut, on 26th May 1987. This was the event that had been witnessed by many people with motorists stopping on the side of Interstate 84 to watch the unfolding of this momentous event.
As the reader has no doubt already noticed, the name "Randy Etting" has come up quite a few times as the report has been quoted in many places. Additionally, of course, we must remember that the event of 3rd March 2009 over Torrington, Connecticut, had almost identical wording to the Etting event nearly 22 years earlier

Never mind a "hot spot" for UFOs could well be a hot spot for telepathic thoughts spanning 22 years

Despite your irrationality, science is not a faith system as you well know and certainly not dogmatic as you yourself exhibit with your page after page after page of unscientific paranormal, supernatural and Alien visitation crap.
Most all of science at one time was outside the box my friend, and as evidence comes to light supporting that particular concept, then it is in time accepted.
A small percentage of your UFO's remain just that...unidentified. You need to accept that.
All I see in that rant is a mixture of "porky pies" emotional claptrap, and childish fairy tale like personal beliefs.

But hey MR old friend, you have yet to answer the questions I posed for you...
OK how many UFO sites have you visited? How many abductees have you personally quizzed? If those two questions are too difficult to answer honestly, then tell me, How long will these visiting Aliens continue to flitter in and flitter out again without making themselves officially recognised? Are they preparing the way to destroy us? or are they just going to keep medically probing for whatever reason?
Now of course I also with relation to science have not the education, nor the knowledge, to go and check out and research all scientific claims. But what I do have is a discipline that has shown itself to be the best by far in the world for quite a while now, and with many reputable orginisations, and academia outlets to check out those claims, at least to the best of my ability. Plus of course, I am not nor ever have I claimed to be researching aspects of science etc, unlike you who often make that rather lame claim.
Now are you going to answer the questions, or once again, are you going to go on another rant re the evils of science, and with regards to me and my short comings?

I would think that if the aliens are technologically advanced enough to travel to Earth, they can probably defend themselves.

With 100 reported as seeing this what ever it is how many have you investigated? Come to think about it where is all the original paper work? 100s seeing and what 1 report?

Also it occurred to me why post about the 1987 incident when you have a new shiny 2009 version?

And again have you anything to post about a physical item, like a dented hub cap, we can look at?

    Wing mirror? Anything?

    From your own linked website:

"To the researchers here at XPOSE UFO TRUTH, there seem to be a great many inconsistencies and much confusion surrounding the sightings in Torrington on the 3rd March 2009 as they seem to be mixed up with the sightings of 26th May 1987 and 9th January 1986.

At this moment in time we are of the opinion that the 9th January 1986 event and the 26th May 1987 event are genuine. However, the two sightings in Torrington, Connecticut, on the night of the 3rd March 2009, leave us with considerable doubts.

There may well have been an event or events on that night of 3rd March 2009 in Torrington, Connecticut. Was the confusion that we have related herein possibly some form of diversionary tactic? Did something important happen over Torrington and was this a smokescreen put up to distract people from the real story?

We leave our readers to draw their own conclusions."

    http://fierycelt.tripod.com/xposeufotruth/newtown1987.html

One minor correction of my quoted account from the above website:

"As the above is literally “out of the horse’s mouth,” as it were, we now have some greater detail added to the scenario,

It would seem from these pages that Mr. Randy Etting (or David, his alias) was not actually the photographer of the famous semi-circular pattern of lights.

Apparently, according to the book, it was a police officer who took several photos but only one came out that was worth keeping. Unfortunately he was then transferred to northern Connecticut, as the book says. Even back in 1987 confusion abounded."

    So

    I KNOW all that

All I see is cut and paste of what I have already seen. I'm waiting for some sort of discussion / debate / comment / reputation

    NOTHING on this
    ...... climbed from 1,700 to 3,500 feet .......in a couple of seconds.......no g-forces.....

equates to about 988 klm per hour

    NOTHING on this
Never mind a "hot spot" for UFOs could well be a hot spot for telepathic thoughts spanning 22 years

    NOTHING on this
And again have you anything to post about a physical item, like a dented hub cap, we can look at?

    Wing mirror? Anything?

I'd even take a tyre value cap made of exotic non Earth material

3 options to choose from. Hopefully these will be cleared up next post

The more reasonable people show these gullible people the error of their rather silly assumptions, the more the more fanatical of them will keep coming up with nonsense. The same fanatical ones that claim to be researchers into the anomalies, when all they do is swallow any say so from pseudo conspiracy sites. ho hum

    Refresh my memory please
    • O'Hare airport very busy
    • Hundreds of people
    • Cameras had been invented
    • Overhead is the same as Traffic 15 miles away at 2 o'clock as per pilot audio
    • The same sort of UFO sighting has been seen in other parts of the world
These 5 points are a very compelling ufo account

    What else you got?

    Oh I almost forgot

    NOTHING on this
    ...... climbed from 1,700 to 3,500 feet .......in a couple of seconds.......no g-forces.....

equates to about 988 klm per hour

    NOTHING on this

    Yes they are. So what?
Yes..A ufo OVER an airport with hundreds of people inside.

Who among the airline and airport employees would carry a camera to work?

And? Do you understand the mitigating visual factor of a low hanging cloud cover?

Right. Showing it to be a real phenomenon.

Very busy but only 2 aircraft saw the UFO and no others checked to see if evasive action would be needed
    Got it

O'Hare airport at least 15 square miles in size
    Got it

Oh so traveling public don't carry cameras
    Got it

You do understand clouds are often mistaken for UFOs
    I do

You do understand the rest of the world has weather which includes cloud cover
    I do

Congratulations you score E for Effort

Now go for big boy comments on the other three

Yes..That's a multiple witnessed ufo sighting. The very best there is.

No..they're packed in their bags. They're traveling. Duh.

If a ufo is over an airport, it can't be seen from those on the inside.

Not as solid disks that hover beneath the cloud layer and then shoot up leaving a sky-blue hole in it.

Which explains why ufos are spotted all over the world? That doesn't even make sense.
