Classical #physics predicts weight (W) should NOT change at increasing temperature (T) in vacuum. Relativistic #physics predicts W should INCREASE at increasing T in vacuum. I think the experiment should be carried out as follow. Place a heater, thermocouple and precision balance in a vacuum chamber. Heat the chamber and record how many calories are required to raise the temperature by say 10 degC and also take readings of the balance. Next, place a metal sample on the balance, repeat the heating process and record calories and weight again. Subtract the initial measurements from the metal sample measurements to tell how many calories were absorbed by the metal and if any changes in weight of the metal is measured.
And you are surprised? Strictly it is mass that should very slightly increase, due to the increased heat energy content. But I agree in principle that will affect the weight. I am intrigued. How do you arrive at the conclusion that weight, or maybe mass, should decrease with increasing temperature? (Please explain it here, where readers can all see it, as this is a discussion forum. Just referring to web links is not acceptable.)
That nobody sent you any results, of course. They will have assumed (with some reason) that you are a crank and a waste of time. Furthermore you can do the calculation and you will find out the increase is too small to measure without a disproportionately huge effort. So why would they waste time money and effort, just to satisfy you? But now I see you started an identical thread six years ago and did not follow it up after a couple of posts. So I don't expect you are any more serious this time.
Then your ideas have a huge barrier to overcome and you must have very convincing evidence! You haven't seen any results because the scientist are not going to waste there time on such a silly experiment. If you supply compelling evidence along with your request then maybe there would be some experiments run. Scientist get emails and requests all the time from lay people with "great ideas" which are promptly tossed in the waste bin.
I was surprised the results of the experiment are missing from the literature and surprised scientists are not interested to test conservation of mass.

Evidently you did not read my post, as that gives you the reason. But, more interestingly, what is the basis of your theory, please? And what evidence do you have that it is correct, and that relativity is wrong?
I am not surprised in the slightest. The results aren't missing, they don't exist because the experiments were never run.
