Love the word and the meanings
But why is it I grok the word but feel it should sound mellifluous to fit with the meanings?

Grok is an invented word. It was invented by the SF writer Robert Heinlein in the novel (ahem) Stranger in a Strange Land.

The protagonist uses it in the sentence "I cannot grok it fully", for instance.
