im not from england and if i go there should i bow before queen?if yes should she bow before me on my land? no offense just curious...
There is no formal requirement for people who aren't her subjects to bow/curtsy before her majesty the queen. However, most probably do / would out of respect, but people from republics might well not. In the protocol of the monarchies, I do not believe sovereigns ever have to bow to one another, irrespective of whose land they are on. Lower ranks may have to bow to higher ranks, and I'm sure there is hierarchy of rank somewhere. In terms of who takes priority in, say, giving speeches, then if it is being held in a monarchy then it would be the sovereign of that monarchy who goes first, then emperor, then King/queen. If being held on non-monarchy land then the order, I think, is determined by length of service. As for other protocols, it may simply be a case of "when in Rome..."
