So, I live in St. Petersburg, Florida. Thus far it's been incredibly nice. I moved here in January from Cleveland, Ohio because, well, I fucking hate the cold. I had neck/spine surgery two years ago (arthroplasty) and the metal bits, bolted to my vertebrae don't mix well with cold weather. I'd hope against hope that I'd make it through my first year in Florida without having a major storm force my evacuation.

Turns out, no matter which route the fucking storm goes, it'll suck big time in this part of the state. I mean, who says these words, "I'm escaping to Orlando"? Well, now I know. I'll be escaping to Orlando! Hopefully I'll have some interesting pictures to share when it's all said and done.

Sorry to hear that you are caught up in it all directly...
There is a strange correlation going on that I thought I might share...
At the moment there are three major hurricanes currently destined to make landfall at more or less the same time
    see:

the interesting thing about this is, apart from the unprecedented nature of it, the fact that something similar occurred in 2010

    K_arl + I_gor + J_ulia 2010
    K_atia + I_rma + J_ose 2017

is that some coincidence or what?

Hurricane names in any year start with letters of the alphabet in sequence, so if I is the first letter of a particular sequence, J and K will follow. It is a coincidence that I and J started from the mid-Atlantic, while K seems to have started further south in the Atlantic.
