Why are U.S. citizens ignoring the 6% gain on GDP, by not nationalizing health care?

Statistics show that the average U.S. citizen pays considerably more for their, --- bankruptcy creating inhumane medical system, --- than other countries who have nationalized health care. The gain in GDP is around 3%.
It follows economies of scale gains are likely to be about 3%. If a penny saved is a penny earned, I am justified in saying that there would be a 6% saving to the average U.S. citizen.

Why are Americans wasting such a huge amount of gains, when going single payer could bring such a huge gain to each American?

I ask all my Yankee friends; what the hell? Recognize that single payer, pays great dividends.

Because to do so would be to fall victim of a commie conspiracy, and I'm not kidding. That's the belief of the American right wing. Two, the American system of government isn't as democratic as governments in Europe or Canada, and that favors the American right wing giving them more control than would be warranted by numbers alone.

Mostly because if we did go single payer, then pharmaceutical companies would scream "BUT MUH PROFITS!" - no, seriously, they have several hundred to several thousand percent profit margins on some drugs...

I did not see the right nor the left pushing to move that GDP differential back to those who pay it. You included. At least not as hard a push as the people should have demanded.

I thought slavery was dead in the USA.

Drug suppliers, black market or white, if there is a difference, are always trying to bost their share, and we let them.

    It is our fault.

If only. Neither right nor left wing are flying straight on this issue and your political system is set up to be that type of economic oligarchy.

The U.S. is what it was meant and created to be.

Then he will know where to find it. In the hands of our rich owners.

    Don't hold your breath.

Americans have become slug who do not care about their fellow Americans. At least not enough to care if they go bankrupt from just getting sick.

In this case, Americans. Not all of course, but the majority.
