[1] Support the statement that there is no evidence of anything against the law.

[2] Support the statement that "this" (what is "this") was not a big deal until Trump won.

[3] Document the "liberal dual standard and PC gossip".

[4] Please provide evidence of this "practice ... where corporations could be shaken down to give donations to left wing organizations, in exchange for lenient sentences".

[5] Then why isn't Attorney General Sessions investigating it?

[6] Have you any evidence of Obama's behavior?

[7] Are you capable of defining or providing evidence for your "dual standard of leftist hypocrisy", or is it just another one of your made-up terms?

[8] Please provide evidence of secret communication between the Obama campaign or transition team, and Iran.

[9] Please use real evidence to illustrate the nature of these hacks; marking a server is child's play.

[10] Please define your statement that "Trump is only concerned with the law", and provide evidence to support it.

[11] It probably would have helped to offer some explanation up front about what makes you think the former FBI director would explicitly contradict the rest of his own testimony like that, but we also recognize you're so busy making shit up that might be asking too much.

To be honest, I think this thread is a pretty clear testament to what happens when a member is permitted to spout bullshit unsubstantiated claims without having to answer for it...

 

Only if you ignore all the evidence, you know it's funny. You and your right wing cohorts can see evidence of crime even when no crime exists, as long as a Democrat is the accused. But when a Republican is the brunt of the investigation, you cannot see even your fingers in front of your eyes. It's funny how that works.

Unlike your near 30 years of accusations of Democratic right wing wrong doing, there is overwhelming evidence of wrong doing here, and the wrong doing is not confined to just Trump.

It has always been a big deal, and as the evidence mounts, it's become even a bigger deal with each passing day. Furthermore it's more than a little hypocritical for you to call anyone hypocritical after nearly 30 years of accusing Democrats and Hillary Clinton in particular of everything from simple malfeasance to serial murder without a shred of evidence as evidenced by the nearly 30 years of Republican led investigations.

And the evidence is where? The fact is you have no evidence. This is yet again, you mindlessly accept whatever some other whacked out mindless right-winger tells you. Just because another mindless whacked out right-winger tells you something, it doesn't make it true. Most often it is not.

And where is your evidence Obama had secret meetings with Iran? Where is the evidence Hillary's server had the "fingerprints" of at least 5 countries which had hacked her server? The FBI in sworn testimony before Congress that after an extensive investigation of Hillary's server they found no evidence it had ever been hacked by anyone much less 5 or more different countries.

If Trump is concerned with only the law, then why has he repeatedly defrauded people? Fraud is against the law, e.g. Trump University and the Trump Foundation, etc. If Trump is only for the law, then why did he actively attempt to suppress a legal investigation? Those aren't conspiracy theories comrade, those are documented facts.

Well, that's not what Former FBI Director Comey testified to today. He said Trump wasn't the subjected of an FBI investigation when this started, but that has changed driven in no small part by Trump's actions. That's not gossip comrade. That's fact. Comey testified today that Trump had asked him to "let Flynn go", to not enforce the law. Trump swore to enforce the laws of the land. Trump has violated his oath of office. That's what Comey testified to today comrade. That's not gossip. That's fact.

 

Speaking of ComeyDay... what the flying FUCK was wrong with McCain? Did the man suffer a stroke while questioning Comey? He seemed to be incapable of understanding the fact that the Clinton Email Server investigation and the Russian Investigation are two separate and utterly unrelated things...

 

Yeah, I noticed that. He appeared demented. He tried to equate the two. I expected more of McCain. I thought he would be more concerned about Russian intervention in our elections. But he appeared completely unconcerned about Russia.

 

I know it was terrible! I was concerned, he said Comey several times when he meant Trump and he refered to Hillary as President Clinton. He was almost impossible to follow. Guess he was having a "bad day" as we ancient guys say....

 

When Huckabee Sanders was asked if the President is a liar, she said, “No, I can definitely say the president is not a liar, I think it’s frankly insulting that that question would be asked.”
Which was ironically enough a lie. The President has been caught time and time again lying.

 

It's sad and troubling to hear what's coming out of the White House. On one hand, Trump touts Comey's testimony as exonerating him, and in the next sentence Trump condemns Comey as a liar. So which is it Trump?

The only liar here is Trump.

 

I'll be honest... my Grandfather had some pretty senile moments towards the end of his life, but they were few and short lasting, maybe a few seconds before he'd shake it off, laugh, and be like "Oh damn, getting old sucks" and was right back to it...

McCain becoming finally completely senile is, of course, good news. One of the most insane Russia-haters now becoming so insane that even his fans have to recognize his insanity - fine.

Once that's all what is worth to be mentioned, it looks like the hopes of the Clinton-fans to obtain something sufficient for impeachment are dead? Nice. If more politicians outside the US start to think that Trump will rule for longer, they will start to seriously adapt to the new circumstances, instead of waiting for a successful Clinton coup in short time.

I have seen a nice theory to explain Qatar. The point would be that Trump is yet too weak to seriously attack the CIA at home. So this attack against Qatar is interpreted as an attack against a key player in the CIA games. So, hitting the CIA being too dangerous yet, he hits a CIA puppet. Not that I would bet on this, but given that the point of the Qatar crisis seems quite unclear up to now, it sounds not that completely implausible.

 

Well, it's difficult to know where the Republican Party demagoguery ends and the dementia begins, so you shouldn't be getting your hopes up just yet.

Where does that come from comrade? First, the US isn't your beloved Mother Russia comrade, and Trump doesn't rule here or anywhere else. That's a big difference between the US and your beloved Mother Putin. the American president isn't a dictator. He doesn't rule. He serves.

Comrade, you really don't understand the US. That's how it works in your beloved Mother Russia, but that's not how it works in the West, and it's not how it works in the US. Russia hit Qatar perhaps in an attempt to make Trump look better and distract people from his domestic woes. It ain't working.

 

Congressional leaders are chalking Trump's miscreant behaviors up to ignorance. Hmm...interesting. Will there come a time when they stop making excuses for The Donald. I mean the guy is 70 years old and he should by that time know right from wrong.

 

If Trump is still being investigated, Hillary should be too? WTF? Bizarre. People are investigated for reasons. It's like he's admitting the Clinton investigation was a witch hunt, and he thinks the Trump investigation is too.

 

McCain needs to have a battery of cognitive tests run along with Trump to get to the bottom of their obvious malady. The world is looking at a superpower run by a crew of mental ward patients. But these patients have nukes...unreal.

 

I even heard from my mother on this point, today.

There are a few things, there, though; I just can't get them all laid out neatly.

(1) Old-school partisan politics. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) went off earlier today about how Comey's testimony means Mueller isn't pursuing an obstruction case. The logic isn't quite there, but it's easy to see what he's doing. The problem is that such politicking has been of dubious effect in recent years. Still, he's just looking for a way to rally faithful Republicans while not stooping to open advocacy. Sen. McCain might well have attempted something similar. It should occur to them—well, okay, at least Mr. Graham—rather quite shortly that such maneuvers just aren't going to work.

(2) Tit for tat. There is a weird, vague idea among conservatives that comes out from time to time, and it's like they're stuck on their own demonization of liberals, cynically demanding some manner of quota; it goes, approximately, that since "we" just did "the right thing", now "you" have to do an equivalent "right thing". A test, for instance, would be whether or not Republicans, having impeached removed President Trump, would expect pursuit of President Pence's exposure and culpability to stop. Well, you know, unless we throw Hillary Clinton in prison, along the way. But they won't do all the right thing without stopping to demand new incentive along the way. Think of it this way: One reason Republicans have trouble thinking of civil rights outside a context of accusing quotas is that quotas are all they can come up with.

(3) Cheap politicking. If we attend closely, it is easy to notice several Republicans trying to lead into their discussion of Trump troubles by reminding of old accusations against Democrats, and, you know, that's such a mess it would be easy for anyone to get flustered and confused in the middle of it all.

(4) Crackpottery. There is underneath all this a bizarre and desperate attempt to turn this all back to Hillary Clinton; quite literally, a conspiracy theory that Hillary Clinton colluded and continues to work with Russians to discredit President Trump and Republicans.​

Age and senility are tempting; so is age, the changing weather, and the idea of an antihistamine. Substantively speaking, though, the question of fuck-all's wrong with McCain is even more fascinating once we skip past the medical.

 

They do know Putin hates Clinton, right? I guess that's all a ruse.
