This is the bible " Love thy God with all your heart with all your strength. Love thy fellow man as yourself . I believe this is very simple and you can not edit it, to make more clear, there is no confusion
I am confused??? When it says Love thy god does that mean I have a PERSONAL god just for me? or am I sharing my thy with the other 7 billion people on Earth? or all the other 6,999,999,999 get their own god? with all your heart Does that mean god has full dibs on the heart and no-one else gets a look in? with all your strength do stronger people get better god treatment because they are stronger? Love thy fellow man as yourself Oh so now we are into the kinky stuff What happens if your fellow man is not your type? Can I do a swapsy? Can my swapsy be a fellow woman? Agreed. Probably used to control people and make some money too. Suppose it was decided to edit the Bible. Who would do it? What about all those old copies on dusty old book shelves in big creepy houses? What about my copy?
No problem for me whatsoever. I have types I prefer and pass no judgement on others for their choices Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I have been thinking about this proposition lately. A sensible edit may help firstly to guide fundamentalists to a reasonable position. If you think about it the preacher in effect edits the Bible by not drawing attention to the horrible parts and presenting the positive messages one can apply. I mean you never get a preacher referencing slave owners ship or stoning unruly kids...why not edit and get rid of the bad stuff. Alex
