    The tank is before me.

However I cannot find the tank to drive it. The engine is ceased and it is without noise and exhaustion! There are tracks leading TO the tank, but this simply reveals where the tank has BEEN, not where it is.

Six men pile out the back, leaving tracks. However these simply reveal where the soldiers have GONE, not where they are, and also not the position of the tank.

    ...I cannot drive a tank.

I do not! I may walk into it. I know something is there, but I do not know it is a tank and I cannot drive it.

But you said "The tank is before me". To make that statement you must know that. This is total bollocks, isn't it?

I was born in nineteen-eighty. The tank was before me (World War two.)

Incidentally can people please remember to WRITE numbers, not simply print them. Thanks.
